Maintenance

If you have any questions concerning service, mainte-
nance, or disposal, please contact your official dealer�
Repairs and maintenance may only be carried out by
Melitta customer service or by specialist personnel
authorized by the manufacturer�
Intervals
To ensure that the unit remains safe and in the correct
condition, observe the corresponding national and
regional laws and guidelines�
In Germany in accordance with the occupational health
and safety guidelines, the operator is obligated to
have an authorized electrician check that the unit is in
the correct condition at certain intervals� The interval
between these checks is usually 6 months� This check can
also be performed and confirmed by customer service
on request� The unit is subjected to the necessary safety
checks during its manufacture and does not require any
additional checks before the initial commissioning�
Decommissioning
Before longer standstill times or transportation, the
machine must be decommissioned�
1� Remove the mains plug�
In addition, for machines with water connection:
2� Close the water stop tap at the water supply line�
3� Remove the water supply line hose at the unit and let
any residual water run out�

Recycling and disposal

This machine has been designed and manufactured to
allow environmentally friendly disposal�
Waste disposal
The waste produced during brewing is purely organic and
can therefore be disposed of in normal household waste�
Waste water disposal
The waste water produced during the brewing and
cleaning processes complies with the definitions of
general domestic waste water and can therefore be
drained into the normal sewerage system�

Maintenance
Disposal of cleaning agents
The cleaning agents recommended in these instructions
conform to legal requirements when used correctly
and can therefore be drained into the normal sewerage
system with the rinse water without further measures�
Disposal of the machine
This machine contains high-quality raw materials that
should be recycled�
Do not dispose of equipment in domestic
waste!
During disposal, observe the appropriate
national and regional laws and guidelines�

Faults

In the event of faults, have the unit inspected and, where
applicable, repaired by customer service or an authorized
electrician before you start using it again� Incorrectly
performed repair work can result in considerable risk to
the user�
Information on rectifying possible faults are listed in the
following table�
