INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
It is important to make sure that the lever (No 1 in Picture 2) 'clicks' into exactly the right position when choosing a
function.
For optimal cleaning result, spray-guns should be cleaned immediately after use.
1. CLEANING
Clean out the spray gun with the cleaning brush (No.12 picture 1) as follows. Turn the lever (No.1 picture 2) to the
position for the brush (No.2 picture 2). By pressing the foot valve (No.7 picture 1) at this point, the pump will start to
operate, and feed water through the cleaning brush The waterflow through the brush will immediately be interrupted as the
foot valve is released.
The cleaning brush should be used first to clean as much of the spraygun as possible. Thereafter the paint channel of the
spraygun must be carefully rinsed. Turn the lever (No.1 picture 2) to the position for the rinse gun (No.3 picture 2). Press
the rinse gun (No.11 picture 1) against the paint channel of the spraygun and press the foot pedal to start the pump, while
you also open the trigger of the spraygun to allow the water through the paint channel.
2. EMPTYING THE FILTRATE CONTAINER
When the water level reaches the level of the working platform (No. 4 in Picture 2), it is time to perform the coagulation
process. The filtrate container (No. 5 in Picture 1) must however first be completely drained of its remaining content.
Roll out the filtrate container (No. 5 picture 1) lift out the filterbasket and roll the filtrate container to an area where it can
be tilted and completely emptied into the drain water system.
3. COAGULATION
N.B.: IT IS ABSOLUTELY VITAL THAT THE COAGULATION PROCESS IS CARRIED OUT WITH THE GREATEST
CARE, SO THAT LARGE FLOCKS OF COAGULATED PAINT ARE FORMED. OTHERWISE THE FILTER WILL
IMMEDIATELY BECOME OBSTRUCTED, AND CANNOT BE RE-USED.
A: Remove the working platform (No. 4 Picture 2).
B: Open the valve for the paddle agitator (No.5 picture 2).
C: Add the coagulation powder as recommended by NEXA Autocolor. Stir it thoroughly into the water with the help of a
suitable instrument, such as a whisk or similar.
D: Allow the paddle agitator to run for a few minutes. Stir the water again to dissolve any residual powder that may have
sunk to the bottom.
E: Stop the paddle agitator occasionally for around 30 seconds since this improves the coagulation process. The total
coagulation time is around 5-10 min, depending on the amount of powder, the level of contamination, etc.
When this is done, close the valve for the paddle agitator (No.5 picture 2).
4. FILTRATION
8702
Note: MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE THE ORIGINAL DRESTER FILTER; DRESTER NR.
SINCE THIS FILTER IS
APPROVED BY NEXA AUTOCOLOR. TWO FILTERS SHOULD BE USED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER, ONE TO
COLLECT THE PAINT SLUDGE, AND ONE FOR THE FINAL FILTRATION.
Open the drain valve (No.9 picture 1) and the soiled cleaning water will drain off and be filtered. After the draining
process, the body of the machine (No.2 picture 1) must be thoroughly cleaned out the so that all flocking residuals will be
drained off down into the filter. Finally close the drain valve, and the machine is ready for use again.

CHANGING THE FILTER

In the first filter the main part of the sludge is collected, and in the second the finest contaminations are trapped. The
sludge in the first filter can be emptied out after it has dried for some time, and should be dealt with as controlled waste.
Given enough time the sludge will dry into a hard substance. The first filter can then be reused. In general terms, each filter
can be reused about 5 times. The filters must at least be replaced every 1-2 months to avoid the risk for development of
mould.
N.B.: THE COAGULATION SLUDGE MUST BE HANDLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH REGULATIONS FROM THE
APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY. INFORMATION FROM THE PAINT SUPPLIER MAY BE NECESSARY.
