Site Search & Site Lock
Press the site search button (programmable)
to show the current site.
Press and hold the site search button to force
the radio to scan for a new site.
If the optional "wide-area roaming" function is
programmed the radio will automatically
switch sites as it moves through your cover-
age area.
Automatic site switching may be disabled by
activating the site lock function (selected
either via the menus or a function button).
Please contact the person in charge of your
radio system for further information.

EMERGENCY OPERATION

If emergency is enabled on your system the
function is invoked by pressing the emergen-
cy button (5) on the top of the radio.
Emergency is disabled by pressing the emer-
gency button for approximately 2 seconds.
N ote: Use this function with care.

FAILSOFT

The failsoft feature ensures that a conversa-
tion is not interrupted if the trunked system
fails. In this mode communication will be
maintained on an open channel. The failsoft
tone will sound every 10 seconds and the
display will alternate between
FAILSOFT
and the current active display.
