3) With control VOLTAGE (7) adjust the voltage which
is required for the circuit or the unit to be supplied.
The digital display indicates the output voltage in
volt (V) with a resolution of 0.1 V.
Caution! A voltage which is adjusted too high may
lead to the destruction of the connected object.
4) For safety reasons at first adjust the current limiting
to a low current value with control CURRENT (8).
5) Connect the power supply unit to the object to be
supplied: the red jack SEC (6) to the positive pole,
the black jack to the negative pole.
Caution! If positive and negative poles are mixed
up, the connected object may be destroyed.
6) For reading the current consumption of the connect-
ed object press in button "V A" (4). The digital dis-
play indicates the output current in ampere (A) with
a resolution of 0.1 A.
If the POWER LED (2) expires after connecting
the object, there is an error or the current consump-
tion of the object exceeds the value adjusted with
control CURRENT (8). If necessary, adjust the cur-
rent limiting to a higher value.
4.2 Digital voltmeter
Voltage measurements of more than 42 V must only
be carried out by persons who are able to recognize
a hazard of contact and are able to take correspond-
ing safety precautions. In case of measurements
with a hazard of contact avoid working alone. Ask a
second person to attend.
Take unforeseen voltages at measuring objects into
account. For example, capacitors may be danger-
ously charged.
With this unit no measurements must be carried out
in current circuits with corona discharges (high volt-
age).
Make sure before the measurement that the test
leads are in a perfect condition (free from insulation
damage).
The voltage max. to be measured must not exceed
200 V . Otherwise there is danger of life for the
user!
1) Press in the selector switch button "INT EXT" (5).
Thus, the digital display is switched to external
measurement.
2) Disengage the selector switch button "V A" (4), i. e.
it must not be pressed in, otherwise no external
measurement is possible.
3) Connect the positive pole of the test object via a test
lead with the red jack DVM (9) of the digital volt-
meter and the negative pole with the blue jack.
4) Read the measuring value from the display (3). It is
indicated in volt (V) with a resolution of 0.1 V.
If the polarity is mixed up (positive pole at the
blue jack, negative pole at the red jack), a negative
sign is displayed before the measuring value.
If the test voltage is more than 199.9 V, the
measuring range is exceeded. The display signal-
izes "I ." or "-I .".
