Output:
The balanced XLR output connector 'BALANCED OUTPUT'
(3) allows connection of more active Zeck VECTOR speaker
systems, e.g. VECTOR S3A subwoofer, another VECTOR T3A
or any other active speaker cabinet by Zeck (see fig.4).
Insert:
The 'INSERT' jack (5) can be either used for (a) series-
connection of external sound processor units or (b) as a
helpful means for connecting the VECTOR T3A with a
VECTOR S3A subwoofer for a 3-way active PA system.
a) Connecting external sound processor units (see fig.2)
The tip contact of the stereo insert jack carries the signal that
goes from the VECTOR T3A to the input of the external unit
(SEND), the ring contact expects the signal coming from the
external unit's output (RETURN). Usually, as most effect
processor unit have separate input and outputs, a Y-cable is
needed to accomplish the interconnection (see fig.3).

See Fig. 2 for wiring
b) VECTOR system interconnection (see fig.5)
For combining a VECTOR T3A with a VECTOR S3A subwoofer,
just connect the 'INSERT' jack of the VECTOR T3A and the
'SYSTEM CONNECTOR' jack of the VECTOR S3A with a
stereo cable.

The fullrange signal arriving at the 'BALANCED INPUT'
connector of the VECTOR T3A is now sent to the VECTOR S3A
via the stereo cable. Here it is split into a mid/highrange
signal and a lowpass signal by the VECTOR S3A's internal
active crossover. The mid/highrange signal is sent back to the
VECTOR T3A while the lowpass signal remains inside the
VECTOR S3A for amplification. In this configuration, the
VECTOR T3A only processes the mid/highrange portion of the
audio signal.
For best low-frequency reproduction, however, it is
recommended to use the wiring described in fig.4, where the
'BALANCED INPUT' of the VECTOR S3A is simply connected
to the 'BALANCED OUTPUT' of the VECTOR T3A. In this
configuration, the acoustic power of the low frequencies of
both systems is added.

5. Power section

Power amplifiers:
The VECTOR T3A employs one 60W Class AB amplifier for the
1" driver and one 300W Class D digital amplifier for the 12"
speaker. The crossover frequency is set to 1.8kHz.
Limiters:
Each frequency channel is equipped with an individual limiter
circuit that uses a speaker modelling algorithm for simulating
the voice coil temperatures. If the internally set threshold
values for the speakers are exceeded, the correspondend
limiter becomes active and thus protects the speaker from
becoming overheated or overloaded. Limitation is indicated
by a bright 'LIMITER ACTIVE' LED (7).
The limiter circuit is also active while the unit is turned on
and off as an additional protection of the speakers against
surge voltages.
Controls:
The 'VOLUME' control (6) is used for adjustment of the
overall volume, while the 'BASS ENHANCE' control (8) is
used to lower or increase the bass content of the sound.
