• Never use the vacuum cleaner standing on
its end or on its side. The vacuum cleaner
must be horizontal on the floor for use. Be
especially careful when vacuuming stairs to
ensure that the vacuum cleaner is horizontal
and in a safe position. When vacuuming the
stairs always ensure the vacuum cleaner is
below you.
• After use always unplug the vacuum cleaner
before cleaning it or changing the filter.
• Repairs to electrical appliances must always
be carried out only by a qualified engineer.
Non-professional repairs can place the user
in considerable danger.
• Never store the vacuum cleaner next to a hot
stove or radiators.
• Before cleaning the vacuum cleaner or
putting it away, switch it off and always
unplug it if it is not to be used for some time.
Never unplug it by tugging on the cable, but
always pull out the plug itself. Remove any
special attachments you have been using.
• Never leave the vacuum cleaner unattended
when switched on. If you are going else-
where, switch off the vacuum cleaner or un-
plug it (by pulling out the plug, not tugging
on the cable).
• Domestic electrical appliances can be dan-
gerous for children, so always ensure that
the cable is not a tripping hazard and that
children cannot gain access to the appliance.
• Never attempt to repair the vacuum cleaner
yourself. Always contact a qualified elec-
trician for any repairs. To avoid the risk of
electric shock and injury always ensure that a
damaged cable is replaced by the manufac-
turer or a qualified electrician with a cable of
the same type.
• Only use original spare parts.
