5.2 INSTALLATION AND FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE
1) 1) Do not install and do not try to repair the product if it was damaged during transport.
2) 2) Do not connect the power cable unless specifi cally instructed.
3) 3) In order to ensure the correct working of the device in safe conditions, it is absolutely forbidden to
expose the product to atmospheric agents and to direct heat sources. The temperature of the installation
environment has to be between 5 °C and 38 °C (41 °F – 100 °F).
4) Position the machine such as to allow visibility and taking
into consideration the minimum recommended distances:
Air exhaust side (Ref.H)
Air inlet side (Ref.G)
Service panel side (Ref.J)
5) The installation of additional conditioners is only permitted if
the following conditions are complied with:
•
the minimum distance between one conditioner and another
must be 500 mm;
•
each conditioner must have a protection circuit with a 20A
circuit breaker. (32A for 60Hz)
6) If the site for the installation is within a room, consider that
the said site must have the following characteristics:
•
It must have openings to the outside which allow for a chan-
ge of air;
•
the change of air must be such as to assimilate the heat of
the machine
•
ensure that the ambient temperature is not above 38°C
(100°F) while functioning.
7) If the chosen site is adjacent to a dwelling, consider the
noise impact of the machine and take steps to contain it.
Check that the exhausted air is not directed into the dwell-
ings.
8) Ensure that the cooler is easy to reach for maintenance and
that the service access panel is not blocked.
9) WARNING: Ensure that the air intake and outlet
grills are not blocked or obstructed.
10) Ensure the absence of oils, infl ammable gasses, corrosive
components, sulphurous composites or high frequency
machines.
11) The cooler must be positioned on a base which can support the load. The cooler must be installed in a
heightened position from the ground in order to avoid ingress of rain water accumulating on the ground,
and blocking of the air intake by deposits of snow. The recommended height is 20 - 30 cm.
12) Install the condenser discharge tube: install the connector for the condenser discharge in one of the
dedicated holes under the base of the machine (Ref.K) and adjust the tube to direct the discharge. The
condenser discharge tube must pass below the machine.
13) Once the machine is positioned and the condenser discharge is set up, prepare to connect the tubes using
the accessory contained in the package.
