Application
The bus switching module
BSM 650-... has 4 integrated relays
which can only be triggered via
control buttons or call buttons. Each
of the relays makes available a
potentialfree working contact. These
contacts can be used for control
commands by means of the
illuminated buttons at the BTS/BTC
or BTLMs, or using the freely
assignable keys 1 - 6 at the
BTC 750-... . The contacts can also
be used to trigger external signalling
devices in parallel to the individual
call buttons ( secondary signalling).
Each contact can only fulfil a single
function. The BSM 650-... acts as a
system user, but must be
additionally supplied with 12 V AC
from an NG 602-... .
Installation must always take
place when disconnected from
the power supply.
Operating elements
• A button to switch the program-
ming mode ON and OFF, for pro-
gramming / selection of the relay to
be programmed, and to define the
switching time of the relay (1 - 10
secs).
• 4 LEDs for status display of the
relays and to identify the program-
ming steps.

The LEDs at the BSM 650-...
indicate the following statuses:
• Relay 1 active
• Relay 2 active
• Relay 3 active
• Relay 4 active
• Delete mode active
• Programming mode off
(operational status)
Remarks:
All LEDs light up briefly and go out
again if the BSM 650-... cannot be
switched to the programming mode
because a different BSM 650-... is
already active or because the
BSG 650-... is not switched to the
programming mode.
Assigning buttons (control
function)
LED lights up for 3 seconds. The
relay is now preselected. The LED
then changes from a quick on, quick
off, quick on flashing frequency to
indicate that the relay is now ready
for programming. The flashing fre-
quency increases markedly after the
first button has been programmed.
This flashing frequency is retained
until all the necessary buttons have
been assigned to this contact. By
preselecting the next relay, the
switching time of the relay you have
just programmed is also defined. The
switching time can be anywhere
between 1 and 10 seconds and is
determined by the length of time for
which the key at the BSM 650-... is
actuated when indexing onwards.
Assigning the auxiliary signalling
unit (NSG function)
The BSM 650-... must be assigned to
the same line as the BT you wish to
call. The assigned contact is closed
parallel to the door call. This
function can only be assigned to a
call button which has already been
programmed. Control function
assignment or NSG function can be
performed in any optional sequence.
Cancel mode
Once the assignment of buttons to
the contacts has been completed,
pressing the button on the
BSM 650-... indexes you onwards
into the cancel mode.
In the cancel mode, control button
assignments can be individually
cancelled.
All LEDs light up for 3 seconds and
then start to flash.
Lift the receiver for 3 seconds and
press all the buttons you wish to
cancel. If illuminated buttons are
deleted at BTLMs or BTs, you
automatically have control
entitlement again for the central
light relay in the BSG 650-...
Terminal plan AS-TYR-1/1

Remarks
a) Up to max. 5 illuminated Vario
modules, the TR 602 can be
omitted, b and c are connected at
the NG 602-... .
