INTRODUCTION Ponndorf Hose Pumps are self-priming rotating positive-displacement pumps without seals or valves. The liquid comes into contact with only the interior of the hose and not with the moving parts of the pump. INSTALLATION AND SETUP The installation is dependent on the pump type and can be made stationary or portable. Mechanical Connection The diameter of the suction and discharge hoses should be approximately 25% greater than that of the pump hose. The type of pump = nominal diameter of the pump hose in millimeters. -

MAINTENANCE / REPAIR Changing the Hose — PX Models Only 1. Remove the suction and discharge flanges. 2. Remove the connecting sockets from the hose and take off the quick-sealing ring from the flangeless end of the hose. 3. Take out the damaged hose. This can be made easier by reversing the motor briefly. WARNING: Do not wear gloves or loose clothing, as they can be pulled in. -

Cleaning When pumping materials that are likely to leave deposits, rinse the hose after use. When changing the hose, clean any contamination from the pump casing. Inactive Periods If the pump is not going to be used for periods longer than five (5) days, the hose must be removed to prevent permanent deformation caused by continuous pressure from the rollers and hardening of the hose. -

SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN Sicherheit Die vorliegende Anleitung enthält grundsätzliche Empfehlungen, die während der Installation, der Vorbereitung, des Betriebs und der Wartung zu beachten sind. Aus diesem Grund muss diese Anleitung vor der Montage und vor dem Betrieb vom Installations- und Bedienpersonal sowie von anderen beteiligten Mitarbeitern gelesen werden. Diese Anleitung muss dem Bediener jederzeit zur Verfügung stehen. - Seite 29 SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN (FORTSETZUNG) VORSICHT: Vor Anschluss-, Montage- oder Wartungsarbeiten die Pumpe von der Hauptstromquelle isolieren. EINFÜHRUNG Ponndorf-Schlauchpumpen sind selbstansaugende Verdränger-Rotationspumpen ohne Dichtungen oder Ventile. Die Flüssigkeit kommt nur mit dem Schlauchinneren, nicht mit den beweglichen Teilen der Pumpe in Berührung. INSTALLATION UND VORBEREITUNG Die Installation richtet sich nach dem Pumpentyp. Die Pumpe kann als stationäre oder tragbare Ausführung installiert werden. Mechanischer Anschluss Der Durchmesser des Ansaug- und Auslassschlauchs muss ca. 25 % größer sein als der Durchmesser des Pumpenschlauchs. Pumpentyp = Nenndurchmesser des Pumpenschlauchs in mm. (Beispiel: PX27 = Schlauch mit 27 mm Innendurchmesser usw.) Der Ansaugschlauch muss vakuumbeständig sein, und der Auslassschlauch muss dem Maximaldruck der Pumpe standhalten können. -

Einlegen des Pumpenschlauchs (alle anderen Modelle) HINWEIS: Vor Einlegen des Schlauchs sicherstellen, dass die Außenfläche des Schlauchs ausreichend geschmiert ist. (Spezialschmierfett siehe Handbuch ERSATZTEILE.) VORSICHT: Vor Anschluss-, Montage- oder Wartungsarbeiten die Pumpe von der Hauptstromquelle isolieren. 1. Den Flansch an der Ansaug- und Auslassseite entfernen. Die Außenseite des Schlauchs reichlich mit Spezialschmierfett bestreichen. -

WARTUNG/REPARATUR Auswechseln des Pumpenschlauchs (nur PX-Modelle) 1. Den Ansaug- und Auslassflansch entfernen. 2. Die Verbindungshülsen vom Schlauch entfernen und den Schnellverschlussring vom flanschenfreien Schlauchende abnehmen. 3. Den beschädigten Schlauch herausnehmen. Dies geht einfacher, wenn man den Mo- tor kurz rückwärts laufen lässt. VORSICHT: Keine Handschuhe oder lose Kleidung tragen, da sie sich in der Pumpe verfangen könnten. -

Reinigen Beim Pumpen von Material, bei dem Ablagerungen zu erwarten sind, den Schlauch nach Gebrauch durchspülen. Beim Schlauchwechsel müssen eventuelle Verschmutzungen am Pumpengehäuse entfernt werden. Längerer Nichtgebrauch Wenn die Pumpe länger als fünf (5) Tage nicht in Betrieb sein wird, muss der Schlauch entfernt werden, um eine durch Dauerdruck der Rollen und Verhärten des Schlauchs verursachte permanente Verformung zu vermeiden. -

GARANTIE Um optimale Anwendungsergebnisse zu gewährleisten, sind für Ponndorf-Pumpen ausschließlich die empfohlenen Schläuche zu verwenden. Der Einsatz anderer Schläuche kann eine Verweigerung der Garantieleistung nach sich ziehen. Limpieza Al bombear materiales que es probable que dejen depósitos, enjuague la manguera después de usarla. Cuando cambie la manguera, limpie la contaminación de la carcasa de la bomba. Períodos inactivos Si no se va a usar la bomba durante períodos de más de cinco (5) días, se debe quitar la manguera para impedir la deformación permanente causada por una presión continua debida a los rodillos y endurecimiento de la manguera. -
