MAINTENANCE

- Periodic service: this activity shall be performed by the end user.
Frequency: daily, weekly or monthly.
- Yearly service: this activity shall be performed by a qualifi ed technician from FARO After-
Sales Technical Support Centre.
Frequency: yearly or on expiry of a certain number of cycles.

- Penetration Test (Bowie & Dick / Helix Test)
- Cleaning of the chamber and accessories (tray holder and trays)

- External frontal panel cleaning

- Bacteriological fi lter replacement
- porthole gasket replacement
Vacuum Test
Check: daily.
Penetration Test - Bowie & Dick Test
Check: weekly (suggested). Refer to national regulations and instructions.
Penetration Test - Helix Test
Check: weekly (suggested). Refer to national regulations and instructions.
Before proceeding with the operations described below, always turn off the main
electrical power supply switch (1 Fig. 1) and ensure that the chamber is cold.
Cleaning of the sterilisation chamber and of internal accessories
Check: monthly or every 50 cycles.
Use a soft cloth soaked in water to avoid damaging the protective surface coat of the chamber.
Rinse thoroughly with water and, on completion of the operation, dry.
However, clean the chamber only in case of extreme need.
If there are white calcium deposits, immediately check the reason for their presence in to
chamber. Formation of white patches at the base of the chamber reveals the use of either poor
quality water or of water that lacks the required characteristics.
Porthole cleaning
Check: daily or every 5 cycles.
Carry out the procedures described below with a soft cloth soaked in water to avoid damaging
the protective coat of the hatch. If necessary, moisten the cloth with white vinegar to remove
calcium scale.
Rinse thoroughly with water and, on completion of the operation, dry.
During the cleaning process, DO NOT USE either metallic or highly abrasive cloths as the
latter could cause abrasion of the external porthole surface.
