How to use

Pay attention to the safety rules on pages 38 - 39.
Preparation:
Lift the lid off the rechaud (2) by pushing (1) the handle.
Remove the reflector. Open the tank filler lid.
Adjusting the wick:
For an optimal flame, the wick should be placed at the same height as
its tube (3). If necessary you can lever the wick out of the tube with a
fork or knitting needle from one side. If the wick projects too far, pull it
1
down from underneath after unscrewing the burner tubes. Make sure
to insert the frayed end of the wick properly in the spirit tank. Then
screw on the burner tubes again firmly (caution: fire hazard).
Changing the wick:
Burnt wicks that no longer absorb enough spirit must be replaced.
2
Unscrew the burner tubes, and pull out the old wick from underneath.
Insert the non-frayed end of the new wick into its tube from under-
neath by rotating it gently. Then screw on the burner tubes again
firmly.
Tip:
3
The wick is easier to insert, if it is cut thinner at the end and soaked
in spirit.
