How to install the insert

The device may only be installed and connected
by professional electricians. Please observe the
relevant regulations in your own country.
1 Wiring the insert:
– Connection to a phase: Connect phase L to input
relay (Figure „)
– Connection to a double push-button: as for single-
phase connection; double push-button connects to
both extension inputs (Figure §)

2 Install the insert A in a flush-mounting box (a deep
box is recommended) in such a way that the
connecting terminals are at the bottom.

What you can do with the time switch insert
The time switch insert (Figure !A), hereafter simply
called "insert", is installed together with a time switch

attachment (with/without sensor connection, Figure
!B) in a flush-mounted box (a deep box is
recommended).
You can set the time switch to turn electrical loads such
as lamps (see technical data) on and off at particular
times. Using the two extension inputs, you can also
switch loads with mechanical push-buttons (make
contacts). The insert will not work unless used together
with the attachment.

Caution!
Risk of damage! When using energy-saving
lamps, you may only connect those whose inrush
peaks do not exceed the permitted switching
capacity of the insert.

3 When attachment has sensor connection: Connect
the sensor cable (see the instructions for the timer
attachment).
4 Fasten the attachment B complete with frame C
to the insert.

Caution!
Risk of damage! Make sure that the load to be
switched (e.g. heater) can be switched
automatically and without supervision and can
therefore be used in combination with a time
switch. If this is not the case, the insert or load
may be damaged or damage may occur in the
surrounding area.
