To operate the Speedbox you need a heart rate monitor which
works with digital data transmission (e.g. PM80, WM80).
In the instructions for this type of heart rate monitor, you will find
detailed information on the following:
• Fitting the Speedbox (chapter "Operation")
• Connecting the devices (chapter "Operation")
• Coordinating ("pairing") the device signals (chapter "Basic Set-
tings")
• Display and control options when using the Speedbox (chapter

How the Speedbox works
A multidimensional measuring device
is installed in the Speedbox which de-
tects foot acceleration and transmits
these values to your heart rate monitor.
From the acceleration and time of each
individual step, the heart rate monitor
calculates the distance covered and the
speed.
Inserting battery
First insert the battery provided into the
battery compartment at the back of the
Speedbox, using a coin to open the bat-
