Maintenance

After shredding approximately 500 sheets of paper, "Maintain"
is indicated and the maintain symbol will flash on the LCD
display (fig.15).
This indicates that the shredding blades need to be lubricated
using a Rexel oil sheet (Reorder Code: pack of 20 = 2101949).
Only Rexel oil sheets or Rexel bottled lubricant (Reorder Code:
= 1760049) should be used. Follow the instructions provided
with the Rexel shredder oil or oil sheets. NEVER USE AN
AEROSOL LUBRICANT, or any lubricant that is flammable.
The shredder will continue to operate while the "Maintain" icon
is flashing. After lubricating the cutting blades, the Maintain
icon can be deactivated by pressing and holding the maintain
button for approximately 7 seconds. The word "Maintain"
will disappear from the screen and the internal maintenance
counter will be reset to zero.

Warranty

ACCO Brands Europe warrants its product/products and their
parts against defects in materials and workmanship under
normal use for a period of 2 years from the original date
of purchase. During this period we will repair or replace a
defective product or part subject to the following warranty
conditions:
The warranty applies only to defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use and does not extend to
damage to the Product or parts which result from:-
(a) Alteration, repair, modification or service carried out by
anyone other than an authorised ACCO service centre.
(b) Accident, neglect, abuse or misuse owing to failure to
comply with the normal operating procedures for a product
of this type.

Checklist for inoperative machine
If the equipment does not work properly, please check the
following points first:
• Is the plug inserted?
• Is the power switch on right side turned on?
• Is the cabinet door closed?
• Is the paper tray doors closed?
• Is the internal waste bin full?
• Is there a paper jam in the shredder?
• Has the motor overheated?
If none of the above applies and the shredder will still not
operate, please contact our customer service department.
Nothing in this Warranty shall have the effect of excluding the
liability of ACCO in respect of death and personal injury caused
by the negligence of ACCO. This Warranty is offered (subject to
these terms and conditions) in addition to, and does not affect
your statutory rights.
Additional Guarantee
ACCO Brands Europe guarantees the cutting blades of the
Auto+ shredder to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for 20 years from the date of purchase.
* Please note that the cutter blades will be progressively worn
down by shredding fastened sheets (staples and paperclips)
- this is not covered in the warranty.
These conditions shall in all respects be governed and
construed in accordance with English Law and subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
