e) Starting and using App "Im Scope"
• Search for the App "Im Scope" that you installed before and start it.
• Tap on the book symbol on the right.
• Under "Name of the camera" you can change the name of the microscope camera, if required
(Basic setting e.g. "I'm Scope Camera").
• Under "Number of photos to take at once" you can choose how many images are taken
during each saving process (selectable: (1, 3, or 5 images). These images are saved as
usual in the integrated recording folder (as with conventional photos too).
• Tap on the iPad screen 2x to save an image. A brief confi rmation will appear on the display.
f) Using the microscope camera
• With the knurled wheel (2) you can adjust the LED light continuously.
• The image can be focused using the adjustment wheel (3).
For an initial test of the microscope camera place it directly e.g. on a book page.
Set the highest brightness of the LED light using the knurled wheel (2). Afterwards,
turn the adjustment wheel (3) slowly until a clear image appears in the display of the
iPad.
The maximum distance to focus the image is approx. 4 cm.
Handling
• Use is only permitted in dry indoor locations. The product must not get damp or
wet! There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a
warm one. The condensation that forms might damage the product under certain
circumstances. The wall plug transformer also poses a risk for a potentially fatal
electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the installation location and during trans-
portation:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loud-
speakers
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an authorised repair
shop.
Tips and Notes
Microscope camera cannot be switched on
• The installed accumulator is empty. Recharge the accumulator.
Image cannot be focused
• The maximum distance to the object is about 4 cm. With farther distance the image cannot
be focused.
No picture is shown
• Increase the brightness of the integrated LEDs.
• The maximum distance to the object is about 4 cm. With farther distance the image cannot
be focused.
Cleaning
Prior to cleaning the product, switch the product off.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as these
can cause discolouration. Do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning, to prevent
scratch marks.
Dust can easily be removed from the objective lens with a clean, long-haired brush and a
vacuum cleaner.
