Intended Use

In conjunction with the GBM 32-4 drill, the stand
is intended for making exact drilling in magnetis-
able materials such as steel.
The stand can be used in the horizontal and ver-
tical positions as well as overhead. Care is to be
taken that adequate clamping area is available
on the magnetisable material (thickness > 8-mm)
to produce the necessary magnetic force.

For Your Safety

Working safely with this ma-
chine is possible only when the
operating and safety information
are read completely and the in-
structions contained therein are
strictly followed. The safety in-
structions for the Electro-tool
used are to be strictly observed!
If the mains cable is damaged or
cut through while working, do not
touch the cable but immediately
pull the mains plug. Never use the
machine with a damaged cable.
Wear safety glasses and sturdy
shoes.
When necessary, also wear an
apron and helmet.
Wear protective gloves.
Do not expose the machine to rain.
For long hair, wear hair protection. Work only
with closely fitting clothes.
Connect the machine only to sockets with pro-
tective contacts.
A For all work overhead and on surfaces that
are not horizontal, the drill stand and
GBM 32-4 drill are to be secured from falling
down by the safety chain 7 .
The stand may be used only on work pieces
with adequately smooth and clean surfaces.
When the drill bit become unexpectedly
jammed, switch off the drill immediately.
Bosch is only able to ensure perfect function-
ing of the machine if the original accessories
intended for it are used.
