Operation

The product must only be connected to suitable audio inputs in order
to avoid distortions or mismatches that could cause damage to the
microphone or the connected audio device. Refer to the connection
information in the "Technical data".
Never direct the microphone at the sound outlet of loudspeakers, as this
can result in feedback which may damage the loudspeakers and the
connected amplifier.
a) Inserting/changing the battery
• Unscrew the cover on the battery compartment (2) in an anticlockwise direction and
then remove the cover.
• Insert the battery (9) into the battery compartment, paying attention to the polarity
markings (plus/+ and minus/-).
• Replace the battery compartment cover. Screw the cover back in place by screwing
in a clockwise direction.
b) Mounting and connection
1. Slide the microphone holder (6) onto a suitable accessory shoe (not included).
2. Click the microphone into the swivel-mounted clip on the microphone holder. Hold
the microphone with the selector switch (3) pointing upwards and press it down
slightly so that it will not fall out of the holder.
3. Ensure that you place the product in a secure position.
4. Adjust the volume to zero on the audio device that you are connecting to the
microphone. If speakers are connected, reduce the volume on these too.
5. Connect the 3.5 mm jack socket (1) on the microphone to the audio device using
the desired jack cable ((7) or (8)).
6. Place the wind shield (5) onto the microphone head (4).
c) Settings on the microphone

The "Super" setting is designed for long recording distances.
The "Cardioid" setting is designed for short recording distances.
Switches the microphone off.
d) Using the microphone
1. Turn on your audio device, e.g. amplifier, speaker or recording device.
2. Turn the sensitivity of your audio device to zero using the corresponding input level
control (refer to the operating instructions of the device you are using).
3. Test the microphone by speaking a few words whilst slowly moving the input level
control on the audio device upwards until the desired output signal level/output
volume is reached.
Air movements such as wind, moving the microphone or breathing create
deep frequencies in the sound spectrum. The attached windscreen (5) (made
of sponge) prevents such sounds from being recorded.
