Getting started, connection via RJ45
• Check whether the rotor head of the camera is fastened to the base e.g. with adhesive
strips. If so, remove the adhesive strips, as they are only needed for protection during trans-
portation.
• Connect the WLAN antenna via the corresponding connection socket at the back of the
camera.
• Connect the camera's RJ45 connector with a 1:1 connected network cable to its network, e.g.
a network switch.
• Plug the low-voltage round plug of the camera into the corresponding socket of the power
adapter provided and connect the power adapter with a power point.
After a few seconds the camera starts a short calibration procedure. The camera head pans
left and right, and the camera tilts up and down.
• Insert the enclosed CD into the corresponding drive on your computer.
If the installation program does not start automatically, open the CD directory using e.g. the
Windows file manager.
Start the program "autorun.exe".
To detect the camera's IP address, you must start the "IP Camera Search Tool" first.
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the power adapter is con-
nected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse
or switch off at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the socket is fully
disconnected).
You can then unplug the plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the
faulty power adapter in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a power adapter of the same design.
c) Operation
• This product is not a toy. Devices operated on mains voltage should not be used
by children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The use of this camera does not replace the personal supervision of children or
people who require special assistance, but only serves as a support for this super-
vision.
• The product is intended for installation and operation in dry, closed indoor loca-
tions only. It must not get damp or wet! There is danger of a life-threatening electric
shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into a
warm one. The condensation that forms can ruin the product under certain circum-
stances. A power adapter also carries the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it to use. This may potentially take several hours.
• Prevent the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during
transport:
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents,
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows,
- Strong magnetic fields such as those present in the vicinity of machinery or
loudspeakers.
• When setting up and/or mounting the product, make sure that the cables are nei-
ther kinked nor pinched.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If the camera is used with other devices (e.g., a monitor), the operating instruc-
tions and safety notes for these devices must also be followed without fail.
• Disconnect the power supply from the power socket if the camera will not be used
for a while (e.g., storage).
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works,
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long time,
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport.
Test the camera before installing/fastening it permanently in the desired place.
The camera should always be connected first to the computer via RJ45 to easily
adjust your preferences. Set up WLAN only after the camera is working properly.
For the set-up process to be straightforward, it is essential for your network to have
an active DHCP-Server (e.g., as contained in every router).
