The earth connections of the function generator, the BNC sockets
( 1a, b, c, d, e) and the RS-232 interface connector are directly
connected to the AC power socket earth via the connected power
cable.
Make sure that the circuits in/to which measurements are to be
undertaken are electrically isolated from the AC power supply via
an isolation transformer. Never connect the BNC inputs ot outputs
directly to the AC power supply, nor to voltage-carrying chassis or
circuits operated without an C power transformer (without electri-
cal isolation of input and output). Attention - danger to life!
Observe the max. input levels. Never connect voltages greater
than 35 V rms to channel „A" or greatr than 3 V pp to channel „B".
before each measurement, check all BNC sockets for damage or
short-circuit.
If the source resistance or the cable capacity of a direct connection between the
object being measured and the frequency counter is unknown above all at high
frequencies use a low-capacity 1:10 probe for channel „A".
On the other hand, use no probe on channel „B", because its relatively high impe-
dance can distort the measured values.
To reduce measurement errors at high frequencies, with coaxial cables it is possi-
ble to use a terminator The impedance of this terminator, which is connected
directly at the frequency counter, should match the impedance of the signal sour-
ce and cable.
Example:
Output impedance of frequency generator = 50 Ohm,
impedance of the coaxial cable used = 50 Ohm,
==> impedance of terminator = 50 Ohm
Basic setting
- Check the BNC socket contacts for damage and short-circuits
- Set the display changeover switch to position FG. The switch is to the left near the
adjustment scale.
- Press the "FUNCTION" sine button

sera à remplacé par un du même type et de même ampérage.
Ensuite remettez le recouvrement du fusible. Veillez à ce que lors de la mise en pla-
ce le marquage fléché corresponde à 240 V. Dans le cas contraire l'appareil pourrait
être détruit.
Remettez l'appareil de mesures en service, que lorsque la coque est correctement
fermée et vissée.
N'utilisez pour le nettoyage aucun produit avec dérivés de carbo-
ne ou contenant des essences, des alcools ou similaires. Sinon
vous risquez d'attaquer la surface de l'appareil. De plus les
vapeurs en sont nocives à la santé et explosives. N'utilisez jamais
d'outils pointus et acérés pour le nettoyage, comme des tournevis
ou des brosses en métal etc.
