12. Battery indicator

During use of the diving scooter under water, the LED operation indicator (2) in the rear view displays the
remaining amount of battery charge as follows:
• Right LED is off and left LED is on and green => the amount of battery charge remaining is 75 – 100%
• Right LED is off and left LED fl ashes green => the amount of battery charge remaining is 50 – 75%
• Right LED is on and red and left LED is off => the amount of battery charge remaining is 25 – 50%
• Right LED fl ashes red and left LED is off => the amount of battery charge remaining is less than 25%
To charge the battery follow point 8 in these instructions.
In order to conserve maximum battery life observe the following points:
• Lithium-Ion batteries do not need to be fully charged or emptied in order to maintain maximum perform-
ance. It is, however, recommended that you fully empty the battery once every 30 charge cycles.
• Do not keep the battery fully charged or completely empty as this can cause the battery life to diminish.
• When storing the battery for a prolonged period, the ideal charge level would be 40%.
• Keep the device in a cool, dry room at approx. 0 – 25°C; the cooler the room is, the better.
• Ambient temperature and charge levels both infl uence the battery life of Lithium-lon batteries.

13. Maintenance and care

• After using the diving scooter, let the water out of the front grille (6). It has been designed to allow it to
fi ll up with water during operation.
• Rinse the diving scooter after use, with fresh, clear water.
• During charging and for storage, make the diving scooter stand on its feet (8) to avoid damage to the
device.
• Make certain that both the charger plug (13) and the start plug (10) are free from dirt and residues
before you insert them into the charging and start socket (9). If the plugs are unclean, rinse them with
clear water and dry them.
• Remove the charger plug (13) during storage. This switches the battery indicator off, thereby prevent-
ing unnecessary energy consumption.
• Charge the battery every 3 months when it is not in use.
• Do not attempt to repair the diving scooter yourself. Never open the device up. If there is a defect, take
the diving scooter to a specialist.
