Intended use
The breathalyzer is used to measure the alcohol content of a sample of exhaled breath.
Readings are no indication of blood alcohol content. The device may not be used to
determine one's fitness to drive or perform other potentially dangerous activities.
The device is approved for battery operation only. No other power supply may be used.
The suitable battery type is listed under "Technical data".
Any other than the intended use described above might result in product damage and
furthermore cause hazards such as electric shock.
The product as a whole must not be modified or altered.
It is imperative that you follow the safety instructions and all other information con-
tained in this user manual.

tions, the warranty gets void! We are not liable for any consequential dam-

• For safety reasons, unauthorized reconstruction and/or modifications of
the product are prohibited.
• Make this product available to third parties only together with its operat-
ing instructions.
• As intoxication slows reaction times and impairs judgment, it poses a po-
tential risk when driving a motor vehicle or performing other dangerous
activities.
• The breathalyzer measures the alcohol content of exhaled breath. Read-
ings are no indication of blood alcohol content and may therefore not be
used to determine one's fitness to drive or perform other potentially dan-
gerous activities. Only a blood sample can provide an accurate indication
of blood alcohol content.
• The degree of intoxication to which an individual is fit to drive varies from
individual to individual and depends on many factors such as one's body
weight, recently consumed foods, the amount and duration of drinking,
one's general physical and health state and much more. Therefore, do not
drive or perform any dangerous activities after consuming alcohol. The
breathalyzer is intended to provide you with a frame of reference regard-
ing your blood alcohol content. It may not be used to determine your fit-
ness to drive or perform other potentially dangerous activities.
• Follow the instructions contained in this user manual to ensure reliable
readings. Faulty readings may be caused by contaminated ambient air or
the like.
• No liability can be accepted for accidents or damages caused while in-
toxicated.
• Use the breathalyzer only when doing so will not cause distraction from
important happenings such as road traffic.
• Do not subject the device to high temperatures, splashing or dripping,
strong vibrations or extreme mechanical stress.
• Handle the product with care. Shocks, blows or even falls from low
heights may result in damage.
• Do not attempt to set, open, dismantle or repair the device yourself. Con-
tact a professional in case of malfunction.
• The product is not a toy; keep it out of the reach of children. Operate the
product out of the reach of children; the product contains small part and
batteries which pose a choking hazard.
• Do not leave packaging materials lying about, they may become a danger-
ous plaything in the hands of children.
• Follow all safety instructions included in this user manual.
Information on batteries
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a risk that children or pets
swallow batteries. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical advice
immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into
contact with your skin. Wear suitable protective hand wear when han-
dling such batteries.
• Do not short-circuit and disassemble batteries. Do not throw into fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge common batteries that are not rechargeable. There is a
risk of explosion!
• Never mix batteries in different charge states or from different manufac-
turers.
• When inserting a new battery, observe the correct polarity (positive/+ and
negative/- terminals)
• Remove the batteries from the device for extended periods of disuse to
prevent leakage or premature discharging.
