2.4 GHz digital babyphone
with monitor
Item no. 26 00 69
Intended use
This product is used, for example, to monitor a baby in a child's room. For this purpose, a video camera
and a microphone are integrated in the transmitter and a colour LC display and a speaker in the receiver.
The power supply of the transmitter and receiver can be provided either by batteries or via the mains adapters
provided.
Any use other than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to hazards
such as short-circuiting, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modifi ed or converted!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of companies and

• 2 Wall plug transformers
• Earphone for connection to the receiver unit
• Operating Instructions
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.
a) In general
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! Children cannot assess
the dangers arising from incorrect use of electrical devices. Be especially careful if children
are around.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
b) Operation
• This product is only to be installed and used in dry, enclosed conditions indoors. The product
must not get damp or wet as there is danger of a fatal electric shock!
• Set up the transmitter and receiver in such a manner that they cannot be reached by children
(do not place the transmitter in or near the child's bed; observe a distance of at least 2 m). The
same applies, naturally, for the plug-in power unit.
• Sockets can be fascinating for children. They can poke objects through the socket openings if
they are unsupervised for a moment. An electric shock can be fatal!
Therefore secure all sockets in your home with a special children's protective cap to protect
your children.
• The use of this product does not replace personal supervision of children or people who
require special assistance, but serves only as a support to this supervision.
• Do not use this product in rooms or under adverse ambient conditions where combustible
gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-
chanical stress.
• If the product is damaged, do not use it any longer.
Switch off the mains socket to which the wall plug transformer is connected (switch off at the
corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then switch off the earth leakage
circuit breaker). Unplug the power adapter out from the mains socket.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the device
immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the device was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our technical
service or another specialist.
Notes on Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
www.conrad.com
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or pets. If
swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Version 03/12
• Leaking, or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries, in contact with the skin can cause acid burns,
therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fi re. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries
that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• Never mix standard batteries with rechargeable batteries, use either standard batteries or rechargeable
batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charge levels (e. g. full and half-full batteries/
rechargeable batteries).
Electric smog?
The topic "electric smog" is discussed everywhere today. In scarcely any other fi eld do so many opinions
of scientists, public institutions and sensitive persons clash. While on the one side any effect on the human
body at low transmitter/radiation output is negated, the other side believes that insomnia, nervousness, tired-
ness and other problems are caused by radio signals.
Due to the low transmission power, a danger to your child by the Video Babysitter can be ruled out on the
basis of current knowledge.
Nevertheless, we recommend that you to maintain a safety distance of about two metres between your baby
and the transmitter unit. Never place the transmitter in the child's bed or directly next to it.
You should also naturally keep the plug-in power unit or other electric devices at least two metres away from
your baby. This does not only apply due to possible electric smog, but also for safety reasons.

Getting Started
• The transmitter and receiver units can operate either on batteries/rechargeable batteries or with the two
identical power supply units provided.
• Switch on both devices with their respective On/Off switches ("ON" = on, "OFF" = off).
Now the camera image should appear in the display (plus the audio transmission is activated).
Can also be powered by rechargeable batteries instead of standard batteries. Due to the lower
voltage of rechargeable batteries (batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V), the operating
time may be shorter.
If you wish to use rechargeable batteries, you should use only NiMH rechargeable batteries with
low self-discharge.

Important!
On the transmitter, move the "Learning" switch (9) to the "OFF" position and the channel selec-
tion switch (6) to the position "CH1". The "Alarm" switch (8) should be in the "OFF" position.
When the power supply unit is connected, any batteries inserted are switched off.
If this is not the case, pay attention to the basic setting of the switch; see above.
