Intended use
This portable heater offers convenient warmth to any room of your home. It is compact enough to fit on a
desk, table or counter. It features a thermostat with two heat settings and a cooling function. The heater
provides oscillation feature to increase ventilation. The overheat protection function and the tilt switch
ensures safe operation.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Important safety information
• Never operate the product in cupboards or other small
enclosed spaces. This creates a fire hazard!
• Do not place the product directly below a wall socket.
• Do not use the product in conjunction with an additional
timer, a remote switch (e.g. remote switch socket) or
other devices that automatically switch on the product.
This creates a fire hazard if the device is covered or
installed incorrectly.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• The product must be placed at a distance of at
least 1.5 m from flammable materials and objects
(e.g. curtains, doors and furniture). There is a risk of fire
if the distance is too small!
• Never cover the product. Never block the openings
on the product or insert any objects into the openings.
The objects may damage the product. In addition, this
also presents a fire hazard and creates the risk of an
electrical shock!
• Do not use the product near to a bath, shower or
swimming pool.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• The air outlet will quickly become very hot and
represents a burn hazard! Please exercise due caution
when handling the product.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall
only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has
been placed or installed in its intended normal operating

position and they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children
aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug
in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user
maintenance.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
• Never place the product on an unstable or moving
surface. Always place the heater somewhere where it
will not fall over. If the heater falls over, this constitutes
a fire hazard. In addition, people may be injured or the
product may be damaged. The safety switch built into
the bottom of the stand will switch the product off if it
falls over, but the hot surface of the infra-red radiator
still presents a fire hazard.
• CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become
very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to
be given where children and vulnerable people are
present.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
• WARNING – Do not cover the device (e.g. with a
curtain, blanket etc.) to prevent it from overheating.
General safety information
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Mount the product so that children cannot reach it.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid right next to the
device. If liquid or an object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, first power down the
respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one.
The condensation generated could destroy the product. The plug-in power supply unit also
involves danger to life by electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature before
connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains
socket using the intended grips.
• Remove the mains plug from the mains socket after use.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or
cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged
mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
