Operation
a) Installation and connection
• Switch off all the external devices to be connected before the cables are connected.
• Using the HDMI cable (not provided), connect the HDMI output of the playback devices
(e.g. DVD player, media box) to the HDMI Input sockets (9, 10, 11, 12).
• Using another HDMI cable, connect the output device (e.g. TV or projector) to the
HDMI Output socket (13).
• Connect the plug of the power adapter (22) to a suitable wall socket.
• Connect the plug of the power adapter to the low voltage socket DC 5V (14). The
Power indicator (1) lights up green and device switches on automatically.
• After having connected all cables, switch on all the connected devices. The output indicator (4)
and all connected input indicators light up blue.
b) Using remote control
• This remote control comes with a pre-installed battery. To activate the remote control, remove
the plastic tag.
• Point the transmitter (15) on the remote control in the IR receiver (3) direction.
• The battery can last for up to one year. It depends on different factors, such as battery quality,
ambient conditions, and frequency of use.
• When the remote control signal starts to get weaker, e.g. when signals are transmitted
irregularly or not at all, the battery must be replaced. See chapter "Care and cleaning".
The remote control features a range of max. 8 m. Any objects located between the
remote control and the product might reduce the range.
c) Use
Functions for operating this device are mainly carried out via the remote control. Not all the
functions can be executed by the device itself.
• Switch on the desired HDMI playback device and the output device (e.g. TV).
• Select the desired HDMI input using the Select button (2) on the device or the
keypad 1-4 (19) on the remote control.
• Press on/off button
(21) to switch off the device after use. Unplug the power adapter from
the wall socket when not using the device for a longer period of time.
d) Using the PIP function
The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) is a function that allows to display one main source input
on the full TV screen and at the same time one or more inputs are displayed in inset
windows. This feature can be used to watch one program while waiting for another
to start, or advertisement to finish. This feature only works with an HDMI input
resolution of up to 1080p. 4K input is not supported for PIP function.
• Press the PIP button (20) to active the Picture-in-Picture function. All connected inputs are
displayed in the left side of the screen as inset windows.
• Press the SEL button (16) to toggle between available inset windows.
• Press the Enter button (17) to confirm the selection. The selected input is shown on the full
screen.
• To deactivate the PIP function, press the PIP button.
