a) General information
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, as it may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a technician or an
authorized repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
• Do not cover the transmitter (e.g. with a curtain), as this may cause it to overheat.
• Do not use the transmitter with a timer, a separate remote control or other devices
that turn the product on automatically. Covering or incorrectly mounting the
product constitutes a fire hazard.
b) Electrical safety
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next
to the product. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power
down the respective socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker), and then remove
the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a
specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room
into a warm one. The condensation generated may destroy the product. Allow the

Transmission range
The radio transmitter has a range of up to 70 m in open spaces with no obstructions.
In practice, however, there may be walls, ceilings or other objects between the
transmitter and the receiver, which will reduce the range accordingly. Different
objects have a different impact on the range, therefore no specific range can be
guaranteed. However, the range should be sufficient for use in a detached house.
The range can be considerably reduced by:
- Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings
- Coated / double-glazed windows
- Proximity to metal and conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
- Proximity to people
- Broadband interference (e.g. cordless telephones, mobile phones, wireless headphones
and speakers, radio-controlled weather stations and baby monitors)
- Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units and computers
- Proximity to poorly shielded or uncovered computers or other electrical appliances
Connection and installation
• Choose a clean, dry location in which to install the transmitter.
• Connect the transmitter to the switch contacts on a standard wall
switch (see diagram). The wall switch turns on when the circuit is
connected.
• The other pair of cables can be connected to another switch in the
same way. The second channel can then be used to control an
additional wireless switch (e.g. an RSL wireless switch, Conrad item
no. 640303).
Remove all other connected wires if you are connecting the product to an existing
wall switch.
• Take appropriate measures to secure the transmitter in place (e.g. using adhesive tape or
a flush-mounted box).
