Congratulations on your fine new loudspeakers and thank you very much for choosing
MAGNAT! You have made an excellent choice. The high-quality speakers produced by
MAGNAT are renowned all over the world.
Please study the instructions and information below carefully before using your new
loudspeakers.
MAGNAT NEEDLE ALU PLASMA LOUDSPEAKER - IDEAL FOR LARGE-FORMAT
LCD AND PLASMA TVS
MAGNAT NEEDLE ALU PLASMA Loudspeakers have been specially designed to be
combined with LCD and plasma TVs. The wall brackets provided make it easy to mount
the speakers vertically or horizontally (see Fig. 1). The distance from the wall can be
adjusted by around 20 mm; the speakers can also be set at a slight angle. It is especially
important when installing horizontally that the locking screw (b) is screwed into the
holding clamp (a) and engages one of the guide grooves. Please use the speaker stand
provided when setting up the loudspeaker in a horizontal position, e.g. on a sideboard.
Stereo mode:
The front speakers should be fixed in a vertical position left and right equidistant from the
screen.
Multichannel mode:
The centre speaker is normally positioned in the centre directly below the screen. The
rear speakers are fixed vertically to the left and right beside or, preferably, behind the
listening position at ear height or a little higher.
The different NEEDLE ALU Series models can easily be combined with each other in a
surround system depending on the size of the screen and the room conditions. However,
left/right speaker pairs must always be configured identically, e.g. front left/right or rear
left/right. Fig. 2 shows a typical 5.1 configuration. 6.1 and 7.1 configurations are also
possible, of course. The additional rear centre unit (6.1) should be placed vertically or
horizontally in the centre behind the listening position. The additional rear speakers (7.1)
should be mounted vertically a little in front of the listening position.

On this model, the front left, centre and front right loudspeaker channels are integrated
into one enclosure. This enables very easy and space-saving installation. Three separate
connecting terminals are fitted to the rear for the individual loudspeaker units and are
marked accordingly. The speaker is secured horizontally in the centre directly above or
below the screen using the wall bracket or placed under the TV using the speaker stand.
