• For the removal of larger weeds, place the conical nozzle (1) on the plant to be treated (according to the type of
plant) and press the On/Off switch (4) for approx. 5 - 10 seconds. The heating element and a blower motor are then
activated to heat the plant. In the case of taller plants, heat the upper part of the plant only briefly, then place the
conical nozzle (1) on the shrunken plant for approx. 5 to max. 10 seconds. The plant does not need to be burned
completely. It will die after a period of time.
Note the following information during operation:
• Keep all body parts away from the heating element (3) and heat shield (2) including the conical nozzle (1). Do not
touch any surfaces until they have cooled fully. There is a risk of burns!
• The performance of the product may deteriorate with cable lengths exceeding 25 metres due to voltage drop.
• If using a cable reel as an extension, it must be unwound fully.
• The wire cross-section of the extension cable must be at least 1.5 mm².
• The product may only be operated outdoors.
• The air inlets (11) must not be blocked or covered.
• Also ensure that the air outlet grille in the "conical nozzle" is not blocked or that the conical nozzle (1) is not twisted
and restricting the hot air flow.
• Never point the hot air flow at the connecting cable or at flammable or explosive substances, people or animals.
• In order to minimise the risk of fire, the product must not be pointed at the same spot for longer than 30 seconds.
Take a break of 10 - 15 seconds in between.
• Switch the product off during breaks using the On/Off switch (4) and place the product with the stand (12) open on
a level, fire-resistant surface.
Lighting barbecue charcoal
The product is also suitable for kindling embers in barbecue charcoal in outdoor barbecues. To do this, switch the
product on and insert the conical nozzle directly into a heap of charcoal. As soon as the embers appear on the
charcoal, the hot air flow will cause the flames to flare up. At that point, the product must be taken out of the charcoal
and kept well away from the barbecue.
NOTE!
If using the product to ignite charcoal, remove the conical nozzle (1) and insert the front air outlet into the
charcoal, otherwise the performance of the product will be insufficient for reliable ignition. Remove the
product as soon as the embers begin to burn.
CAUTION! Risk of fire from flying sparks! Keep the device well away from the charcoal in order to prevent
flying sparks.
