completely. Please keep these instructions in a safe place for future
reference. If you sell the device, please pass these operating instructions
on to the new owner.
1. Package Contents
2. Safety Notes
• When using this product, observe the applicable local traffic laws and
regulations.
• Take care that components such as airbags, safety areas, controls,
instruments, etc. and visibility are not blocked or restricted.
• Before you start driving, make sure that the product is still fastened
securely and cannot unexpectedly come loose. Do not leave the
product unsecured in the interior of the vehicle because abrupt
movements of the car or an accident could cause it to fly through the
interior of the car.
• When mounting the product, make sure that you do not damage any
cable harnesses, wires or other components by drilling or tightening
screws, or impair the functionality of these components.
• Check the installation options in your vehicle and contact your
manufacturer if you have any questions.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any
and all service work to qualified experts.
• Antenna cables should be laid at a sufficient distance from wiring
harnesses to protect against interference.
• Please use cable feedthroughs at holes with sharp edges.
Warning
• The negative terminal of the battery must be disconnected before
mounting and connecting the antenna.
• Please observe the safety information of the device manufacturer
(airbag, alarm systems, on-board computer, immobiliser, radio,
etc.).
3. Mounting location
The preferred mounting location is on the passenger side of the wind-
screen within the area labelled on the diagram. If you choose to install
the antenna on the driver's side, you must ensure that the driver's field
of vision is not impaired.
Note
The selected mounting surface cannot contain heating wires. Heat-
reflective metallic coatings and heat-insulating windscreens are also
not suitable.
4. Mounting
Clean the windscreen with conventional glass cleaner or alcohol before
mounting the antenna. It is essential that the inside of the windscreen
is dry. The inside of the front windscreen and the parts to be stuck on
must have a minimum temperature of +15°C (maximum +30°C).
Now follow the illustrated mounting instructions.
Note
Once an antenna has been stuck firmly to the windscreen, it can no
longer be shifted or moved. Do not touch adhesive surfaces after
removing the protective paper, as the adhesive strength will be
reduced. Before affixing the pillar cover, check the reception quality
and ensure that the system functions correctly.
5. Care and Maintenance
• Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do
not use aggressive cleaning agents.
• Make sure that water does not get into the product.
