G Operating instruction
Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely. Please keep these instructions in a
safe place for future reference. If you sell the device, please
pass these operating instructions on to the new owner.
1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes
Warning
This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to
draw your attention to specific hazards and risks.

3. Safety Notes
• When using this product, observe the applicable local
traffic laws and regulations.
• Do not use the product in moist environments and avoid
splashes.
• Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match
the specified type.
• Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries, as
they may explode.
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity
(+ and - markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.
Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or
exploding.
• Remove the batteries from products that are not being
used for an extended period (unless these are being kept
ready for an emergency).
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Never apply force when using the product or during
installation.
• After the product has been mounted, check that it
is sufficiently secure. You should repeat this check at
regular intervals.
• The light distribution must not be impaired by any part
of the vehicle.
Note on German road traffic code (StVZO)
certification
• Certified according to StVZO §22a
• Rechargeable battery-operated; certified according to
StVZO for all bicycles.
• Battery-operated; certified according to StVZO for all
racing bicycles weighing less than 11 kg.
Warning
Never look straight into the light source
and do not aim its beam of light straight
into the eyes of other people or animals.
This could damage your/their eyes.
4. Installation/Removal (Pic. 2)
4.1 Bracket
Loosen the screw (6) to open the bracket and attach it to
the handlebar.
If necessary, use the included rubber pads (5) to adjust the
bracket to fit the diameter of the handlebar.
Close the bracket and fasten it in place by tightening the
screw (6).
4.2 Bicycle light
After installing the bracket, you can simply slide the bicycle
light onto the bracket. You should be able to hear it click
into place. To remove the bicycle light, press down the
lever (4) and pull out the bicycle light.
5. Getting Started and Operation
To switch it on, briefly press the button (2) two times. To
switch it off, hold down the button (2) for about 1 second.
Press once for eco mode and again for high power mode.
6. Replacing the Batteries (Pic. 3)
As soon as the battery indicator lamp (1) turns red, you
have to change the batteries immediately. This is the only
way to continue ensuring safe use of the product on the
road.
To change the battery, first remove the bicycle light from
the bracket so you can open the battery compartment.
Then pull out the battery compartment (3) and put in new
batteries (3 micro/AAA). Make sure that the polarity is
correct.
Then put the battery compartment back in the bicycle light.
