Schließen Sie den Netzstecker zunächst an die Netzsteckdose an.
Wenn Sie das Produkt zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nehmen, kann es zu Rauch-
und Geruchsentwicklung kommen; dies stellt keinen Fehler dar. Vermeiden Sie
es, das Produkt schnell nacheinander mit dem Netz zu verbinden und es wieder
vom Netz zu trennen! Warten Sie immer einige Minuten bis zur nächsten
Inbetrieb-, bzw. Außerbetriebnahme!
Der Scanic PRO Scan 150 MSD verfügt über verschiedene Betriebsarten:
Master/Slave-Funktion
Die Master/Slave-Funktion erlaubt es, mehrere Geräte synchron durch eine
Master-Gerät zu steuern.
Das Master-Gerät, dass alle anderen Geräte kontrollieren soll, muss durch ein
XLR-Kabel verbunden werden. Stecken Sie das Kabel dazu in den DMX-Ausgang
-8- des Master-Geräts und verbinden Sie es über den DMX-Eingang -9- des
Slave-Geräts.
Um das Gerät ohne DMX-Controller zu steuern drücken Sie so lange die
Up/Down-Tasten -3/6- bis auf dem Display -2- n erscheint. Durch Drücken der
„+/-" -Tasten -4/5- können Sie die Zahlen 1 – 3 bestimmen. 1 steht für
musikgesteuerten Betrieb, 2 aktiviert den Auto Running Mode (Gerät
durchläuft automatisch verschiedene Programme), 3 steht für den manuellen
Modus, d.h. alle Kanal-Werte werden auf „0" gesetzt.
Um die Master/Slave-Funktion zu aktivieren, verbinden Sie die Geräte wie oben
beschrieben. Bei den Geräten die als Slave arbeiten sollen, drücken Sie die
Up/Down-Tasten -3/6- bis auf dem Display -2- „S" gefolgt von einer Zahl von 1
– 4 erscheint, welches für die vier zur Verfügung stehenden Gruppen steht.
Wählen Sie eine Gruppe aus, indem Sie die „+/-"-Tasten -4/5- drücken bis die
gewünschte Gruppe angezeigt wird. Folgende Slave Funktionen können Sie
dabei einstellen:
S-1: Die Geräte verhalten sich wie das Master-Gerät.
S-2: Die Pan-Bewegung läuft umgekehrt zum Master-Gerät.
S-3: Die Tilt-Bewegung läuft umgekehrt zum Master-Gerät.
S-4: Die Tilt- und Pan-Bewegung laufen umgekehrt zum Master-Gerät.
DMX-Modus
Um im DMX-Modus arbeiten zu können, müssen zunächst alle Scanic Geräte
mit einem handelsüblichen, 3poligen DMX-Kabel (XLR) verbunden werden.
Verbinden Sie nun den Ausgang -8- des ersten Gerätes mit dem Eingang -9-
des zweiten Gerätes, den Ausgang des zweiten Gerätes mit dem Eingang des
3 Gerätes usw..
Wenn der Scanner DMX-Daten empfängt erscheint auf dem Display -2- ein „d".
Wenn das „d" blinkt, empfängt das Gerät keine DMX-Daten. Erscheint das „d"
ohne zu blinken, so empfängt das Gerät DMX-Daten. Durch Drücken der „+/-"-
Tasten -4/5- können Sie die DMX-Adressierung bestimmen.

Dieses Gerät darf nicht mit Dimmerpacks betrieben werden.
First connect the mains plug to an outlet.
Operating the product for the first time may generate smoke and odour; this is
not a defect. Avoid dis/connecting the product repeatedly and quickly from/with
mains! Always wait a few minutes prior to the next dis/connection!
The PRO Scan 150 MSD features different modes:
Master/Slave operation
The Master/Slave operation enables several devices to be synchronized and
controlled by one master device.
The master device has to be connected to the slave devices via a XLR cable.
Plug the cable to the DMX output -8- of the master device with the DMX input
-9- of the next slave device.
In order to control the device in non DMX mode disconnect the devices from
the DMX controller. Press the UP/down buttons -3/6- until you see "n" on the
display -2-. By pressing the "+/-" buttons -4/5- you can change the number
from 1 – 3. 1 indicates music-controlled mode, 2 activates the auto running
mode and three is the manual mode, this means that all channel values will be
set to "0".
In order to activate the Master/Slave function connect the devices like
described above. Set the devices that should run as slave device to slave
mode. Press the Up/Down buttons -3/6- until the display -2- shows "S" on the
display followed by a number from 1 – 4. The numbers stand for the four slave
groups that you can choose from. Press the "+/-" buttons -4/5- until the desired
number is shown on the display. The following slave functions can be set:
S-1: The devices behave like the master device.
S-2: The pan movement is reversed to the master device's.
S-3: The tilt movement is reversed to the master device's.
S-4: Both pan and tilt movement are reversed to the master device's.
DMX-Mode
To operate in DMX mode first you must link all devices by using a standard, 3-
pin DMX cable (XLR).
Connect the output -8- of the first device with the input -9- of the second device
and the output of the second device with the input of the third device and so
on.
If the PRO Scan 150 MSD receives DMX data, you will see "d" on the display -
2-. If the "d" is flashing the device does not receive any DMX data. If the "d" is
not blinking then the device is receiving DMX data. By pressing the "+/-"
buttons -4/5- you can set the DMX address.
