• Unplug the device from the mains when not in use.
• When you pull out the plug, always pull gripping the plug and not the power cord.
• Always ensure the device is only used with the originally supplied accessories.
• Do not use the device, when there is evidence of damage, if it has fallen down or is otherwise not
in perfect working order. If the power cord or plug are damaged, these must be replaced by the
manufacturer, a customer service representative or a suitable technician.
• Never attempt to repair the device yourself or to open up the housing.

• Children are unaware of the dangers, which can arise when electrical appliances are used.
Keep children away from the device. When operating the device, please be especially careful
when children are in the vicinity!
• Do not use the device outdoors.
• Only use this device in the manner described in the current instruction manual. Do not use the
device to heat up water, soup or other such foodstuffs.

BEFORE USING FOR FIRST TIME

• Remove the various protective and packaging materials and the accessories from inside the
device.
• Check the device and accessories for any potential damage. Do not use the device, if it shows any
signs of damage.
• Always only place the device on an even, stable and heat-resistant surface.
• The plug must be easily accessible, so that the device can be unplugged from the mains promptly
in the event of any emergency.
• Be careful when running the power cord, to ensure that it will not create a trip hazard while the
device is in operation..

PREPARATORY INSTRUCTIONS

Oils and fats
• Only use oils and fats, which are designed for use at high temperatures and in deep-frying
appliances.
• Never mix together different types of oil or fat.
• Replace the oils and fats after frying, as soon as they start to become brown in colour.
Preparing the food to be fried
• To avoid any risk of oils or fats splashing, please always use only dry food to be fried.
• Frozen food can be deep-fried in the basket without requiring defrosting beforehand. However,
the amount of frozen food deposited should be limited, in order to avoid the risk of the oil/fat
overflowing.
