5.7 PREMIERE – OTHER FUNCTIONS
Your unit has a range of other functions to facilitate everyday programme selection:
•
e.g. dynamic modification of the programme name.
e.g. PREMIERE SPORT1 can thus be renamed automatically and temporarely during a
major sports event.
•
short channel names
depending on the available space in the menu window the "long channel name" or the "short
name" attributed by Premiere can be displayed.

5.8 NEW SOFTWARE VERSION

(cf. also Chapter 4.4.6)
Each time the unit is switched off your receiver checks whether a new software version is
available for your unit on the satellite.
During this search, which may take a few minutes, two bars are displayed on

the programme display.
If new software is available for your receiver, a message to this effect will be displayed when you
turn on your unit the next time. You can then decide whether you wish to download the new
version to your receiver immediately or at a later date, or whether you wish to decline software
downloads universally (cf. also Chapter 4.4.6).
If you decline 10 times, meaning having left this question by pressing key E , you will not receive
any further prompts for this software version.
If you decide for "yes, immediately" then the software download will start immediately. After the
download please press the OK button to save the new software into your receiver.
N.B. While saving the new software into your receiver it should not be switched off or
the mainsplug been pulled out.
If you decide for "Yes, later", then the download will only start when you switch the receiver to
stand-by.
In this case download and saving of the new software will take place automatically.

During the download procedings the channel indicator will show " dL " for
downLoad.
N.B.: During the saving of the software the "dL" indication will blink and your receiver
should not be switched off or the mainsplug been pulled out.
