The flow sensor consists of two stainless steel probes that are
positioned in the flow path; a heater probe and a temperature
probe. A constant difference in temperature ∆T is created
between the two. The energy required to maintain the ∆T is
dependent of the mass flow rate and can be described by the
following formula:

When using a flow controller a directly operated control valve is
integrated. It is a 'normally closed' solenoid valve. For adapting
the suitable kv-value the orifice of the valve is changeable. The
valve plunger is operated by the magnetic field of the coil.
During production the right orifice is mounted the suit the
referring kv-value.
Motor operated valves are used for high flows rates. Please
refer to their specific data sheets.
The routinely used seals material is Viton and some media
require the use of EPDM or Kalrez
instrument's sealing material is shown on the name plate.
The compatibility of the material with your operating media may
be seen in suitable stability tables.
