The Gigaset SX685 WiMAX gateway is a powerful but easy-to-use communications
device for connecting your PC or local area network (LAN) to the Internet via WiMAX.
This Quick Start Guide shows you how to connect and configure your Gigaset SX685
WiMAX and then connect to the Internet.
You will find more detailed information about the wide range of functionalities offered
by your Gigaset SX685 WiMAX in the electronic operating instructions on the supplied

The Gigaset SX685 WiMAX and the antenna can interfere with the functioning of
medical devices such as pacemakers. Keep at least 20 cm between the devices and
the pacemaker. For more information, consult your doctor.

The device may cause an unpleasant humming noise in hearing aids.

Do not use the devices in environments with a potential explosion hazard, e.g. car
paint shops, or in a humid environment (bathroom etc.).

The Ethernet function (LAN socket, LAN) and the FXS function (analogue phone
port, Phone) are designed exclusively for connection inside a building.
