(/4 format for hour, minute & date available) • See “Clock setting” section for set-up of time when first used. Room temperature: A suitable room temperature is important for adults and babies. The thermometer recognizes the room temperature. • See “Clock setting” to enable this function. When turned off, thermometer shows the room temperature with icon. • See “Use of the thermometer” to learn how to get the room temperature. Ear temperature: The thermometer is designed for practical use and should not replace a visit to the doctor. Always compare measurements with your regular body temperature. This seems a strange sentence to have here. It has nothing to do with the ear temperature. • See “Use of the thermometer” to learn how to measure body temperature in the ear. Scan mode: The scan mode shows a surface temperature which is different from the body temperature. It is useful to monitor the temperature of an object such as baby’s milk. • See “Use of the thermometer” to learn how to measure the temperature of an object. Stopwatch: This function is useful for measuring heartbeat. • See “Use of the thermometer” to learn how to use the stop watch function. Fever alarm: If the thermometer detects a body temperature of more than 37.5°C when measuring by the ear or forehead, there will be a long beep sound followed by three short beep sounds which warn of potential fever.

    Clock setting . To start – press the ON/MEM button. You will hear two beep sounds. The thermometer is ready for use. . Press and hold the ON/MEM button for 5 seconds. The ”Set” icon flashes which indicates that you are in setting mode. 3. Press the scan button and the “4” icon flashes. This indicates that you are in the /4 - hour setting mode. 4. Press the SCAN button if you want to change from the 4 hour cycle to the  hour cycle. 5. Press the ON/MEM button to set the time and date according Scan button to the sequence below: Hour  minute  year  month  day. 6. While the hour, minutes, year, month and day setting are flashing you can change the numbers by pressing the SCAN button. 7. Finish by pressing the ON/MEM button. You will hear two beep sounds. Use of thermometer Always make sure the probe is clean and not damaged. Switch on: Press ON/MEM button Ear mode: The default mode for the thermometer is ear mode. The icon for ear is displayed and you hear two beep sounds.

    Taking the temperature in SCAN mode: • While the thermometer is on, press and hold the ON/MEM button and at the same time press the SCAN button once. The icon shows in the display. • Hold the probe to the object and press the SCAN button to update the actual temperature. This mode can be used to measure water, milk, cloth, skin etc. Note: This mode gives the surface temperature which is different from the body temperature. To get the room temperature: • Program the thermometer according to the section “CLOCK SETTING”. When the thermometer is not in use the display automatically shows the room temperature in the display with the icon. • To get the correct room temperature, place the thermometer on a table away from direct sunlight or air conditioning. The correct room temperature will show after 5 min. After use • To extend battery life, the device will automatically turn off if not in use for more than  minute. The LCD will display the date, time and room temperature. • Clean the probe after each use to ensure an accurate reading and avoid cross contamination. (See the section of Care and Cleaning for details.) • Use the probe cap when not in use. Use of stopwatch Press and hold the “ON/MEM” button and at the same time press the “SCAN” button twice for “stopwatch” mode.

    Battery replacement When the battery icon in the display flashes, the battery should be replaced. • To open the battery cover: Insert a pointed object, such as a pin, into the battery pick hole. At the same time push the battery cover backwards. • Flip out the battery with a small screwdriver. • Insert the new battery under the metal hook on the left side and press the right side of the battery down until it clicks into place. • Replace the battery cover. !     Réglage de l’horloge . Appuyez sur la touche “ON/MEM”, vous entendrez deux signaux faibles. . Appuyez sur la touche “ON/MEM” et maintenez-la enfoncée durant 5 secondes. Lorsque l’icône Set clignote, vous verrez s’afficher le réglage (voir image suivante). 3. Appuyez sur la touche “SCAN” jusqu’à ce que l’icône “4” clignote. Vous pouvez maintenant modifier le réglage /4. Appuyez sur la touche “SCAN” pour sélectionner l’affichage sur  ou 4 heures. 4. Appuyez sur la touche “ON/MEM” pour vous déplacer dans l’écran comme indiqué ci-dessous. La touche SCAN Heures Minutes Année  Mois  Jour  Quitter l’écran des réglages. 5.   • Seite 11 • Tirez délicatement l’oreille vers l’arrière afin d’étirer le canal auditif. Placez la pointe de mesure confortablement dans le canal auditif. Elle doit être dirigée vers la membrane du tympan afin de garantir une mesure fiable. • Appuyez sur la touche “SCAN” et maintenez-la enfoncée jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez un bip. Vous pouvez maintenant retirer la pointe de mesure de l’oreille et lire la mesure sur l’écran. Lorsque vous appuyez sur la touche “ON/MEM”, l’appareil va convertir le résultat de la mesure auriculaire en la valeur buccale correspondante. Chez les individus en bonne santé, la température des différentes parties du corps peut différer de 0.~°C. Reproductibilité clinique des mesures : Déviation max. 0,3°C (< an), 0.°C (~5 ans), 0.°C (>5 ans).   • Seite 12 IMPORTANT: Entretien et Nettoyage La pointe de mesure est le composant le plus sensible du thermomètre. Vous devez délicatement nettoyer l’objectif pour éviter les dommages. a. Après avoir effectué les mesures, nettoyez l’objectif (il se trouve dans la pointe de mesure) à l’aide d’un chiffon en coton et d’alcool à 70%. b. Laissez sécher l’objectif durant au moins une minute. c. L’appareil doit être stocké à une température de -0~50°C (-4~°F). Avec une humidité relative ≤85%. d. Stockez le thermomètre dans un endroit sec et maintenez- le à l’écart des liquides et des rayons directs du soleil. e. Ne trempez pas la pointe dans des liquides. Note: Si l’appareil a effectué une chute, vérifiez s’il est endommagé. Si vous n’êtes pas certain de son état, faites-le vérifier dans un point d’entretien.     Stoppuhr Zeit/datum Scan Batterie Zimmertemperatur Speicherfunktion Temperaturmessung im Ohr Funktionen Uhr: Speicherfunktion: Zur Wiedererkennung einzelner Messungen wird das jeweilige Datum gespeichert. Anzeige von Stunde ( oder 4-Std.-For- mat), Minute und Datum. • Einstellungen vor der ersten Ingebrauchnahme: siehe Abschnitt „ Einstellung der Uhr”. Zimmertemperatur: Eine angemessene Zimmertemperatur ist für Erwachsene und Kleinkinder wichtig. Das Thermometer kann die Zimmertemperatur erkennen. • Wie diese Funktion aktiviert wird, ist unter „ Einstellung der Uhr” besch rieben. In abgeschaltetem Zustand zeigt das Thermometer den Wert mit dem Symbol „ “ an. • Die Ermittlung der Zimmertemperatur ist unter „ Benutzung des Thermo meters” beschrieben. Temperaturmessung im Ohr: Auch wenn das Thermometer nützliche Hinweise liefert, kann es den Arztbesuch nicht ersetzen. Die Messergebnisse sind mit der normalen Körpertemperatur zu vergleichen. • Wie die Ohrtemperatur ermittelt wird, ist unter „ Benutzung des Thermometers” beschrieben.

  • Seite 16: Einstellung Der Uhr

    Speicherfunktion: Bei der Stirn-/Ohr-Messmethode können 9 Datensätze gespeichert wer- den. Neben dem Temperaturwert werden auch Datum, Zeit, Betriebsart und Messpunkt gespeichert. • Um die gespeicherten Werte (Symbol ) abzurufen, ist bei eing- eschaltetem Thermometer die Taste „ ON/MEM“ zu betätigen. Umschaltung °C / °F: Bei ausgeschaltetem Thermometer zeigt das Display Datum, Zeit und Zimmertemperatur an. Die Taste „ SCAN” eindrücken und gedrückt halten und umgehend die Taste „ ON/MEM” drücken und loslassen. Nach 3 Sekunden ändert sich das Symbol °C in °F, was andersherum genauso funktioniert. Einstellung der Uhr . Zu Beginn die Taste „ ON/MEM“ betätigen. Daraufhin sind zwei Pieptöne zu hören und das Thermometer ist betriebsbereit. . Die Taste „ ON/MEM“ betätigen und 5 Sekunden lang gedrückt halten. Die Anzeige „ Set” zeigt durch Blinken an, dass man sich im Einstellmodus befindet. 3. Die Taste „ SCAN“ betätigen, woraufhin die Anzeige „ 4“ blinkt, und zwar als Zeichen dafür, dass man sich im Einstellmodus /4 Std. befindet.

    Temperaturermittlung Messung im Ohr: Bitte beachten! • Es empfiehlt sich, 3 x in demselben Ohr zu messen. Sollten die Messwerte unterschiedlich sein, gilt der höchste Wert. • Um Ansteckung zu vermeiden, ist der Tastkopf nach Gebrauch zu reinigen (s. Abschnitt „ Reinigung und Pflege“). • Ein gesunder Mensch kann – je nach Messpunkt – unterschiedliche Körpertemperaturen aufweisen, wobei die Abweichung 0, –  °C betragen kann. • Wiederholbarkeit im Kliniktest: 0,3 °C (< J.), 0, °C (-5 J.), 0, °C (>5 J.). Um ein möglichst genaues Messergebnis zu erzielen, ist die Ohrmuschel behutsam zurückzuziehen, um den Ohrkanal zugänglich zu machen. Dann ist der Tastkopf vorsichtig so einzuführen, dass er auf das Trom- melfell weist. Die Taste „ SCAN” betätigen und gedrückt halten, bis ein Piepton zu hören ist. Tastkopf aus dem Ohrkanal ziehen und Messergebnis auf dem Display ablesen. Messung an Oberflächen : • Bei eingeschaltetem Thermometer ist die Taste „ ON/MEM“ zu betätigen und gedrückt zu halten.     Pulsmessung Damit wird die Pulsfrequenz während 5 Sekunden ermittelt. Das Ergebnis ist mit 4 zu multiplizieren, um den Wert je Minute zu ermitteln. Die normale Pulsfrequenz liegt für einen gesunden Menschen bei 7 Schlägen pro Minute. WICHTIGE HINWEISE: Reinigung und Pflege Der Tastkopf ist das empfindlichste Teil des Thermometers. Um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden, ist die Linse behutsam zu reinigen • Nach dem Messen ist hierzu ein mit Brennspiritus (70 % Alkohol) getränkter Baumwolllappen zu benutzen. • Den Tastkopf danach vollständig trocknen lassen (mindestens  Minute). • Lagerung bei -0 – 50 °C (-4 –  °F), rel. Feuchtigkeit ≤85% • Trocken und vor Feuchtigkeit und Sonnenlicht geschützt aufbewahren. • Der Tastkopf darf nicht in Flüssigkeiten getaucht werden. Bitte beachten! • Nach dem Fallenlassen ist das Thermometer auf Beschädigung zu überprüfen. In Zweifelsfällen sollte es zur Kalibrierung zum Händler gebracht werden.

    Impostazione dell’ o rologio . Per attivare il dispositivo premere il pulsante ON/MEM. Vengono emessi due segnali acustici. Il termometro è pronto per l’uso. . Tenere premuto il pulsante ON/MEM per 5 secondi. L’icona ”Set” lampeggia per indicare che ci si trova in modalità impostazione. 3. Premere il pulsante Scan. L’icona ”4” lampeggia. ed indica che ci si trova nella modalità impostazione /4 ore. 4. Premere il pulsante SCAN se si desidera passare dal ciclo a 4 ore a quello a  ore. Il pulsante Scan 5.   • Seite 23 Per ottenere una lettura di precisione, tirare indietro l’orecchio delicatamente per distendere il canale auricolare e posizionare con cura la sonda nel canale auricolare rivolgendola verso la membrana del timpano. Tenere premuto il pulsante ”SCAN” fino a quando non viene emesso un segnale acustico. Rimuovere la sonda dall’orecchio e leggere la misurazione della temperatura visualizzata sul display LCD. Misurazione della temperatura in modalità SCAN: Mentre il termometro è acceso, tenere premuto il pulsante ON/MEM e allo stesso tempo premere il pulsante SCAN una volta. Il display mostra l’icona . Tenere la sonda a contatto con la fronte/l’oggetto e premere il pulsante SCAN per aggiornare la temperatura effettiva. È possibile impiegare questa modalità per misurare la temperatura di acqua, latte, vestiti, pelle, ecc. Nota: Questa modalità restituisce la temperatura superficiale, che è diversa da quella corporea. Misurazione della temperatura ambiente: • Impostare il termometro secondo le istruzioni fornite nel paragrafo ”IMPOSTAZIONE DELL’OROLOGIO”.     IMPORTANTE: Manutenzione e pulizia La sonda è parte più delicata del termometro. Maneggiare con cura durante la pulizia delle lenti per evitare eventuali danni. • Dopo la misurazione, impiegare un batuffolo di cotone con alcool (concentrazione al 70%) per la pulizia delle lenti. • Lasciare asciugare le lenti completamente per almeno  minuto. • Intervallo termico per la conservazione: -0 ~ 50°C (-4 ~ °F), UR ≤ 85% • Mantenere il dispositivo asciutto e lontano da qualsiasi liquido e dall’esposizione diretta alla luce solare. • Si consiglia di non immergere la sonda in liquidi. Nota: in caso di caduta, verificare la presenza di eventuali danni. In caso di dubbi sulla eventuale presenza di danni, inviare tutto il dispositivo al rivenditore di zona per l’eventuale ricalibratura. Se si impiega il termometro a lungo, il dispositivo potrebbe restituire letture più elevate della temperatura ambiente. Questa indicazione può interessare anche le misurazioni della temperatura corporea facendole risultare inferiori rispetto ai valori consueti.

    Medición de temperatura Mesure de la température: Medición de temperatura del oído, importante - seguir sin condiciones: a. Es recomendable medir 3 veces en el mismo oído. Si los valores difieren, tome el valor más alto. b. Para evitar riesgos de coinfecciones, debe limpiar la punta de medición después de cada uso como se describe en “Mantenimiento y limpieza”. • Tire suavemente del oído hacia atrás para estirar el canal auditivo. Ponga la punta de medición cómodamente en el canal auditivo. Debe orientarse hacia el tambor para garantizar una medición fiable. • Presione y mantenga el botón “SCAN” hasta que escuche un pitido. Ahora puede sacar la punta de medición del oído y leer la medición en la pantalla.     Después de la medición • Si no se usa el dispositivo durante más de un minuto, se apagará automáticamente. La pantalla LCD mostrará solamente la fecha, la hora y la temperatura ambiente. • Para obtener una medición precisa y evitar riesgos de coinfecciones, debe limpiar la punta de medición después de cada uso como se describe en “Mantenimiento y limpieza”. • Ponga la tapa protectora del dispositivo cuando no lo use. ¿Cómo se mide el pulso?     Память: Для записи результатов измерений в ушном проходе и на лбу предназначены 9 ячеек памяти. В каждой ячейке записывается результат измерения, а также информация о дате/времени/ рабочем режиме/месте измерения. • Когда устройство включено, нажмите кнопку “ON/MEM”.     Измерение температуры: Измерение температуры в ушном проходе, важно – выполнять неукоснительно: a. Рекомендуется выполнять измерения 3 раза в одном ухе. При различных результатах считайте окончательным более высокое значение. b. Во избежание перекрестной инфекции необходимо после каждого использования очищать наконечник, как описано в разделе “Очистка и уход”. • Аккуратно оттяните ухо назад, чтобы распрямить слуховой канал. Вставьте наконечник в слуховой канал, не причиняя дискомфорта. Для обеспечения точности измерений наконечник должен быть направлен к барабанной перепонке. • Нажмите и удерживайте кнопку “SCAN”, пока не услышите звуковой сигнал. Извлеките наконечник из слухового прохода, на дисплее вы увидите результат измерения. Если вы подсчитали 8 биений сердца в течение 5 секунд, ваш пульс составляет 7 удара в минуту. ВАЖНО!: Очистка и уход Наконечник является наиболее чувствительным элементом термометра.
