8.1.2 UPS plus Batterypack installation

Additional Batteriepacks are available for all UPS systems in
the XANTO RT series (except for the XANTO RT 1000).
To install the UPS and Batterypack, please proceed in the
manner described above under 8.1.1.
For maximum stability, please use the baseplate extension
(supplied with Batterypack). The size will depend on the num-
ber of additional Batteriepacks used.

Use the battery cable (supplied with Batterypack) to connect
the UPS to the Batterypack:

NOTE:
If an external Batterypack is used, the charging
time increases to 24 hours (or 48 hours in the
case of two Batteriepacks), assuming that the
battery has been completely discharged.
1.) Disconnect the UPS system
from the mains power supply
and the loads from the UPS
system.
2.) Connect one end of the bat-
tery cable to the socket on
the back of the UPS for con-
necting the external battery
and the other end to any
socket on the back of the bat-
tery pack.
