3 | Weigh
Switch the scale on by pressing the On/Off/tara button
and wait till
«0 g» appears on the display. the kitchenscale is now
ready for weighing. place the item to be weighted
directly on the scale. the weight thereof is displayed
immediately. the scale can accept a maximum load of 5
kg (5000 grams). the weight measurement is displayed in
1 g divisions. and the scale has a "tara" adding function.
remove the "overweight" when «Err» appears in the
display.
note: the total weight placed on the scale can not be
more than 5 kg (5000 grams).
4 | Addingfunction
With the adding function you can reset the display to
"0 g" after placing a product. this allows you to weigh in
a bowl. do as follows:
1. place an empty bowl on the scale.
2. press the scale on with the On/Off/tara button and
wait till «0 g» appears on the display.
3. Place the first product you wish to weigh in the bowl.
4. read the weight shown on the display.
5. after weighing, press the On/Off/tara button to
reset the scale to "0" and you can add the next
ingredient.
By repeating step 3, 4 and 5 you can weigh multiple
ingredients (e.g. baking ingredients).
note: «Err» appears in the display if more than 5 kg in
total is placed on the scale.
5 | bAtteries
If the kitchenscale is left unused for longer than approx.
180 seconds, it automatically switches itself off. you can
also turn the scale off manually by pressing the button
On/Off/tara. When «Lo» appears in the display, the
battery needs to be replaced.
note: Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not
constitute normal household waste! they are considered
to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of
in special containers, toxic waste collection points or
brought to electrical goods dealers.
remark: Batteries containing pollutant substances
are marked as follows: pb = Battery contains lead, cd
= Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains
mercury.
6 | cLeAning & mAintenAnce
Wipe the kitchenscale only with a damp cloth. never
immerse the scale in water or any other liquids.
Handle the scale with care, protect the scale from
impact with hard object and do not drop it.
