BASIC FUNCTIONS (remote control not required)
(40) Selecting player mode
The player can play audio files from different storage media.
Press the selection button (40) to select the source of the
data files you wish to play.
The CD player can play audio CDs and MP3 files copied onto a
CD or stored on a memory stick via the USB connection (32).
You can also play MP3 files from SD/SDHC cards (45) up to
32GB.

• The player may take a few seconds to read the media.
A corresponding message appears on the LCD.
• The player is always switched on in CD mode.
• The player is compatible with:
- CD, CD-R, CD-RW (corresponding to the "Compact
Disc Digital Audio" standard or in MP3 format)
- Standard flash USB memory sticks with data in MP3
format only
The device can play most standard audio CDs and recordable
CDs (depending on the CDs used and the CD writer).

CD slot
Make sure that the CD is inserted in the player with the printed
side facing up. Once the player has
drawn in the CD, it may take a
few seconds before it is ready for
playback because the player has
to read data into the memory first.
The number of titles and the total
playback time of the inserted CD
appear on the display.
Please remove the CD from the player before transporting.

Display
The status display shows useful information such as the current
song, the exact duration and the input mode.

STOP (stop playback)
Press the STOP button (34) to stop playback at any time and in
any mode.

PLAY/PAUSE (start and pause playback)
Press the PLAY button (36) in any mode to start playback. Press
the button again to pause the title at the current position and
press for a third time to resume playback.

EJECT (eject the inserted CD)
Press the EJECT button (37) to eject the inserted audio CD.

SKIP (skip titles / skip to the next title)
1. Skip titles
This function allows you to select a specific title.
Briefly press [REV] or [CUE] (35) to select the previous or next
title.
- If either button is pressed during playback, the selected title
starts automatically.
- If either button is pressed when playback has stopped, the
title is selected but playback does not start automatically.

• Skipping a title when a programmed sequence is active plays
the next title in the corresponding sequence.
• If random playback is active, you cannot use this function to
select the previous title.
2. Search
Press and hold the [Rev] or [Cue] buttons (35) for more than
0.7 seconds to search forwards or backwards within a title.
- If either button is pressed during playback, the title
continues playing automatically at the new position when
the button is released.

• Sound is muted during the search process (MP3).
