DUO CHARGING
FUNCTION!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The EXPERT CHARGER 3 DUO has been developed to charge
LiPo R/C battery packs of 1 to 3 cells or
LiFe-battery packsof 1 to 3 cells or
NiCd/NiMH R/C battery packs of 4 to 8 cells.
There are 3 charging methods:
• Automatic fast charge with a charging current of 1A, 2A or
4A, with delta V control (for NiCd and NiMH).
• Slow charge of transmitter and receiver battery with a
charging current of 150mA (only for NiCd/NiMH).
• Automatic fast charge with pre-defined discharge of
NiCd/NiMH R/C battery packs to reduce the memory effect
and to maintain the power of the battery pack. It is
recommended to discharge the battery pack every ten
charging cycles.
This charger can be connected to the 230V 50Hz mains socket
OR to the 12V DC vehicle cigarette lighter socket.
You can use both charging sockets at same time!!!

1.
Connect the charger to the 230V 50Hz mains socket OR to
the 12V DC cigarette lighter socket. The yellow LED "INPUT"
should light.
2. Select the "LiPo", LiFe or "NiCd/NiMH" slide switch according
to the battery cell type.
-LiPo for 1 to 3 cells Lithium Polymer battery
-LiFe for 1 to 3 cells Lithium iron battery
-NiCd/NiMH for 4 to 8 cells Nickel Cadmium or Nickel Metal
Hydrid battery.
3. Select the 1A, 2A or 4A slide switch according to the required

Please pay attention to the maximum charging current
allowed by the battery manufacturer.
For LiPo batteries the values listed below are valid:
Voltage level 3.7V per cell
Maximum charge voltage 4.2V per cell
For LiFe: Voltage level 3.3V per cell
Maximum charge voltage 3.7V per cell
