3. Guidelines

Local building regulations
The chimney stove must be installed and con-
nected to the chimney by a qualified professional.
The DIN and EN norms and country-specific reg-
ulations must be observed for the safe installa-
tion of the unit.

Continuous combustion
The chimney stove corresponds to DIN EN
14785 and 15a BV-G (Austrian Civil Code).
Adequate supply of combustion air must be ensured.
Please contact your local master chimney sweep,
distributor or professional technician.

4. Chimney calculation

The chimney calculation is based on DIN EN 13384-
2 and/or the country-specific regulations.
Required information
Nominal heat capacity
Exhaust flow
Exhaust temperature
Required feed pressure
at exhaust connector fittingsIn the case of excessive
feed pressure >20 Pa, a feed pressure limit (for ex-
ample, auxiliary air device in the chimney) must be
implemented.
For the chimney calculation, the required feed pres-
sure must be set at 0 Pa at the exhaust connector
fittings.
Multi-flue chimneys are possible with a special per-
mit. Please contact your master chimney sweep.

5. Combustion air supply

Adequate supply of combustion air must be ensured.
The combustion air is either drawn from the installa-
tion room, or from a combustion air line that is con-
nected directly to the unit and leads from the cellar or
outdoors.
We recommend Olsberg stove pipes D=80 mm with
sealing lip.
Important:
Combustion air intake and convection air open-
ings may not be closed or covered during heating
operation. Should there be a ventilation unit or
extractor hood in operation in the ambient air
network, risk-free operation of the chimney stove
must be ensured by the implementation of safety
equipment.
In the case of simultaneous operation, the result-
ing negative pressure in the installation room
may not exceed 4 Pa.

6. Installing the chimney stove

The installation base must be flat and level. The
chimney stove may only be installed on an adequate-
ly sturdy base. In order to protect the floor covering,
the chimney stove may be placed on a metal floor
sheet or glass plate.
A stable and heat resistant base must be used on
combustible flooring or carpet. This must extend be-
yong the combustion chamber of the chimney stove
by 50 cm towards the front and 30 cm on each side.
