Performance Description

The WRZ 40M-4G Wind/Rain Control Panel in normal mode ensures that the dome light windows, rows of windows, or
single windows which are connected to the system will be closed automatically in the event of rain, snow, or wind condi-
tions.
It is designed for the control and power supply of max. 40 x 230 V AC ventilation drives (e.g. of type M3) divided over 4
motor groups (max. 10 drives per group) with a total power consumption of 8 A.
To extend the connection facilities, up to 4 control panels can be cascaded (see Cascade management chapter). To
actuate the pneumatic cylinder systems, the panel can also activate solenoid valves. To do this, the DIP switch 9 must
be set to the ON position.
The panel offers three operating modes, which can be selected by means of an optional selector switch. If the selector
switch is not used, automatic mode is applied.
AUTO mode
The windows connected to the system can be opened and closed manually for ventilation purposes by using ventilation
buttons. In the event of wind, rain, or snow conditions, all the ventilation devices connected to the system are closed
automatically. The manual ventilation function will only be released for activation if:
No more wind, rain, or snow conditions are determined,
the sensor surfaces have completely dried out,
and the time delay has expired.
For safety reasons, no provision is made for automatic activation of the ventilation devices.

MANUAL mode

In the "HAND" switch setting, the automatic mode for closing the windows is taken out of operation. The ventilation de-
vices can only be opened and closed manually, using the ventilation buttons. They will not be closed in the event of wind,
rain, and snow.
CLOSED mode
If the terminals 6 and 7 are connected, for example by a key-actuated switch or a timer switch, then all the ventilation
devices connected will be closed. Manual ventilation will be blocked.
Start-up procedure and trial run

Test in MANUAL mode position

After installing the cables to all external components:
Switch on the mains supply to the control panel.
LED no. 1 lights up GREEN*.
Set selector switch to "MANUAL" mode.
The wind and rain control panel's automatic function is out of action.
Windows can be opened and closed manually using the ventilation switches.
They do not close in the event of wind or rain.
