4. Safety Notices

The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-com-
pliance with the operating instructions. We will not assume any responsibility for
consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases the war-
ranty/guarantee is void.
• The system components must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE
approval will become void, but also the warranty.
• The system components may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, moisture, intense vibration or heavy mechanical strain.
• The operation of this system does not replace personal supervision of children or
people who require special assistance, but serves only as a support to this supervision.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the system components require a certain time to
stabilise and adjust to the ambient temperature before it can be operated.
• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Please contact a qualified expert if you are not sure about the safety or the correct
use of the system components.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foils/bags etc. can
become dangerous toys for children; there is risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible damage
- the device no longer functions
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over a long period of time or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the indus-
trial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
• The components included in the scope of delivery are suitable for operation in dry
rooms exclusively.
• Set up the transmitter and receiver in such a manner that they cannot be reached by
children (do not place the sender in or near the child's cot, observe a distance of at
least 1 meter). The same goes naturally also for he plug-in power unit.
• Sockets can be fascinating for children. They can poke objects through the socket
openings if they are not supervised for a moment. An electric shock can be fatal!
Therefore secure all sockets in your flat with a special children's protective cap to
protect your children.
