1.
Take a screwdriver and carefully remove the three "inner"
screws for the battery compartment (5) at the bottom of the
sensor (a).
2.
Remove the battery compartment lid.
3.
Insert 3 AA-size batteries into the battery compartment (5) and
observe correct polarity ("+" and "-" symbols are embossed
next to the relevant locations).
4.
Reinstall the battery compartment lid, ensuring the little tab is
correctly aligned with the groove in the casing.
5.
While applying a little pressure and holding the battery
compartment cover tight to the casing, use the three screws
securely fix the battery compartment lid in place again.
6.
Once the batteries are inserted, the LED indicator (3) On
the sensor's front will flash, indicating that the sensor unit is
automatically transmitting readings to the receiving unit (see
"Intended Use").
7.
If the transmission is successful, the display of the receiving unit
will show a new channel number, the UV index and a relevant
icon. If the transmission is not successful, you can also press
the transmission button (4) on the UV sensor's front to send the
signal manually to the receiving unit (see "Intended Use").
8.
In normal operating mode, if there is no change in the UV
index, the time interval between transmissions will be between
1.5 and 4.0 minutes. If the UV index change is ≥ 1, there will
be an automatic transmission after 30 seconds.
