2.2 Safety information for
installation and use
2.2.1 Verify the vehicle can be dia-
gnosed.
2.2.2 Operating the Bluetooth OBD-II
Car Controller requires an input
voltage of 12 V / DC.
2.2.3 Secure the vehicle from rolling
away before connecting the equipment
to the vehicle's OBD-II jack.
ATTENTION – risk of injury and proper-
ty damage! Always engage the hand
brake and put the vehicle in gear! On
vehicles with automatic transmission
put the vehicle in "Park" and engage
the hand brake!
2.2.4 Always follow safety instructions
when the vehicle is jacked up or on an
auto hoist or similar!
2.2.5 CAUTION! Risk of elec-
trical voltage near ignition
coils, distributor cap, ignition
wires, spark plugs and electrical
vehicle components!
2.2.6 If you are unsure where the
OBD-II jack is located in your vehicle
or how to install the Bluetooth OBD II
Car Controller, please contact a
qualified professional.
2.2.7 When installing and operating the
Bluetooth OBD-II Car Controller always
be sure not to impact the safety and
functionality of other vehicle systems
and equipment!
In this respect please
also always follow the specifications
and safety information in the auto
manufacturer's manual!

2.2.8 Do not wear metal body jewellery
when installing the Bluetooth OBD-II
Car Controller. Doing so could result in
a short circuit and burns!
2.2.9 Depending on the vehicle model
you may need to remove some of the
interior vehicle panels for installation
and not be able to reattach them for
space reasons.
2.2.10 Be sure the ignition and all loads
in the vehicle are powered off before
connecting or disconnecting the equip-
ment to / from the vehicle's OBD-II
jack!
2.2.11 Improper equipment connection
(e. g. if equipment contacts / pins are
bent or defective OBD-II vehicle jack)
may damage electronic vehicle compo-
nents. This could result in an accident
or fire. ATTENTION! Risk of personal
injury or property damage!
2.2.12 Keep a suitable fire extinguisher
ready for fires caused by fuel, chemi-
cals or electricity!
2.2.13 The red equipment LED will light
up during operation. If this is not the
case, there may be a malfunction or
defect of the vehicle or equipment
(also refer to page 35).
2.2.14 Do not expose the equipment to
constant direct sunlight, as the equip-
ment could be damaged due to ex-
treme temperature rise.
2.2.15 In the event of malfunction or
damage, immediately disconnect the
equipment from the vehicle's OBD-II
jack!
2.2.16 Always disconnect the equip-
ment from the OBD-II jack when not in
use.
