16. Maintenance and Cleaning

The product is maintenance-free for you. Never open or disassemble it (except for insertion or replacing of
the batteries). Repairs must only be performed by a specialist or specialist workshop.
You can use a clean, soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Dust can be very easily removed with a clean, soft brush
and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use any aggressive, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, since these may cause discolourations
or even material changes of the surface.
We recommend protecting the product from dust with a suitable cover if it is not used for an
extended period.

17. Disposal

a) General Information
The product does not belong in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulati-
ons; e.g., return it to the corresponding collection office.
Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately from the
product.
b) Disposal of Used Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that contain any hazardous substances are labelled with the
following icons to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The descriptions for the
respective heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pub = lead.
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points of your
community, in our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
