TROUBLESHOOTING
If an error occurs, check the table below first, before you contact your dealer or send in the device. The address
and hotline number can be found on the warranty card. Do not open the device and do not try to repair it yourself.
You will lose the warranty claim and it is dangerous! Refer to the warranty conditions on the following pages.
Problem
No sound.
The display is blank;
no reaction to pressing

Poor music quality with

Cause
The volume is set too low.
The plug is not plugged in correctly.
Electrostatic discharge.
Dust and dirt on the head.
Incompatible cassette type used.
It is possible that safety latch has
broken off.
Protection slider on the SD card in
operation.
CD dirty or damaged.
A program is being played.
No CD in CD compartment.
CD badly scratched or dirty.
Laser lens dirty or scuffed.
CD-R is empty or not "closed''.
CD badly scratched or dirty.
Laser lens dirty or scuffed.
Connection error.
No playable files available.
Solution
Set the volume higher.
Plug in.
Switch off device and pull plug. Wait briefly and plug in
again.
Cleaning
Use only IEC I type cassettes (NORMAL).
Before covering hole with adhesive tape, check whether or
not you really want to overwrite this cassette.
Slide the slider into the direction of the connections before
you insert the card.
Clean or replace CD.
End program playback.
Insert a CD.
Use an unscratched and clean CD only.
Clean the lens. Leave the device in a dry surrounding for
1-2 hours where the condensation can dry.
Close the CD-R.
Use an unscratched and clean CD only.

1-2 hours where the condensation can dry.
Remove the memory card / USB and insert it again.
Use a memory card / USB storage with MP3 files.
