Numbering of the Controls

Please read the operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
Before using the appliance for the first time sterilize the appliance by boiling water
in it twice – use only clear water without any additive.
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Push the safety lock upwards. The lid opens automatically. Fill the water boiler
with water. Please do not exceed the maximum (max) mark. Look at the water
level indicator on both sides of the appliance.
3. Please lock the lid firmly. Place the kettle flush on its base.
4. Electrical connection
• Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as
that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base.
• Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety socket.
5. Press down the button on the handle. The LED in the button lights up.
6. After boiling the machine switches off automatically.
Disconnect the machine from the mains electricity supply.
Switching ON and OFF
The appliance is on when the button is pressed down. The LED in the button lights
up. To switch the appliance off, press the button on the inside of the handle. The
LED is shut off.
Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the machine!
The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp
cloth without additives.
The lime filter can be removed for cleaning by pulling out the filter on the upper joint
first downwards and then up.
