The WAH is equipped with a safety temperature controller (STC)
as a safety feature to prevent overheating
The STC shuts off the WAH when the specific set temperature is
exceeded and the integrated restart block prevents a restart of
the WAH
Once the WAH has cooled down, the cause must first be eliminated
and the STC manually unblocked
The release button is located under the black screw cap on the
front panel of the triple thermostat
Installation / Assembly
Compliance with the relevant local building, fire-
prevention and professional organizational regulations
is mandatory in order to prevent personal injury and
property damage.
The WAH may be operated only when sufficient combustion air
feed has been confirmed The WAH must be set up solidly To
do this, a flat, surface must be provided that is as horizontal as
possible When setting up the WAH outdoors, it must be protected
from the elements The exhaust gas system must be installed in
compliance with local standards and regulations and finetuned to
the equipment performance
The WAH must not be operated in confined spaces
without the exhaust gas system (poisoning risk!)
Operation in environments at risk of fire or explosion is prohibited
The distance from combustible parts must be at least 1 5 m; on
the outlet side of the device at least 3 m
Assure unimpaired air feed and exhaust in order to prevent over-
heating or heat accumulation The lengths and cross-sections of
the hot air ducts depend on the air inlet resistance and must be
unconditionally adjusted to the WAH
Electrical and fuel oil connections to the WAH must be
installed only by a specialist and in compliance with
local standards.
Electrical Connection
The electrical connection is made using a built-in power
cable with three-wire grounded plug to a 230 V / 50
Hz a c power line
EN
Fuel Oil Connection
The connection to a fuel oil line must be done in compliance with
local standards and regulations must be done only by a specialist
At temperatures lower than + 5 ºC appropriate measures must
be taken to assure that the fuel oil remains fluid and there is no
occurrence paraffin
Burner
Any commercially available fuel oil nozzle burner can be used in
the WAH – design (please see the separate burner documenta-
tion) The performance range of the burner must absolutely be
adjusted to the thermal output of the WAH
Initial Operation and Further Start-Ups
• Connect the fuel line to the ID-heater and a fuel tank
• If necessary, connect a suitable air transport hose with
appropriate temperature stability Attach the hose with
a strap to the connection
• Plug the power cord into appropriate and secure socket
(Schuko plug, CEE 7/7)
Heating Operation Start-Up
After opening the gas or fuel oil supply lines, set the operating
switch to "Heat" In the case of operation using a room thermostat,
the thermostat must be set using room temperature When heat is
required, the room thermostat is used to turn on the burner and
the combustion chamber is heated up with the heat exchanger
Once a temperature of 40 ºC has been reached, fan automatically
cuts in via the MIN thermostat We do not recommend resetting
the MIN thermostat to under 40 ºC, because at a lower setting air
will be blown in that is too cold and shut-off of the fan in the cool-
down phase cannot be assured
