BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Assembly/use of accessories
Caution:
Before commencing the assembly or disassembly of the device parts, please switch off the device and
unplug from the mains.
• To connect the suction hose, insert the connection piece into the suction opening on the device.
Before careful to ensure that the connection piece clicks audibly into place.
• To remove the suction hose again, push the two buttons on the connecting piece and then pull the
suction hose back out of the suction opening.
• Attach the extendable hose to the end of the curved carry handle of the vacuum cleaner.
• The length of the extendable hose can be adjusted using the locking switch at the end of the hose.
By sliding the switch downwards, the locking device is disengaged and the hose length can be
extended or reduced. Be careful when adjusting to ensure the hose audibly clicks into place at the
new length.
• The device is supplied with various nozzle attachments (crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle and floor
nozzle with a foot pedal to extend/retract the brushes. As required, these can be exchanged by
simply detaching/attaching from/to the end of the suction hose.
• To store the crevice nozzle, brush nozzle and upholstery nozzle, a mounting device is located
on the curved handle (11). To remove the attachments, simply unclip the desired nozzle from the
mounting.
• The brushes of the floor nozzle can be extended / retracted using the foot pedal (for carpeted
surfaces or flat surfaces as required).

OPERATING THE DEVICE

Caution:
Never direct the device at people or animals. Risk of injury.
• Before using the device for the first time, open the lid of the device and check that the dust bag, the
HEPA Fresh air filter and the protective engine filter are all correctly inserted. At this point, you will
notice a depression underneath the device lid which has a locking button. Pushing this button allows
the lid to fold upwards. When filters are not inserted or wrongly inserted, this may result in engine
damage.
• Check to ensure the dust bag is correctly inserted.
