Assembly
Ensure that the tool has been disconnected from the battery before taking the following steps.
The retainer (2) allows you to hold branches in place. When sawing wider branches or
dimensional lumber, you can remove the retainer (2) and use the garden saw as a standard
sabre saw.
Saw blades
Caution! Do not touch the saw blades without gloves. They are sharp and may become hot
during use and may cause injuries.
Installation of the saw blade
You can install standard saw blades for sabre saws in the garden saw. In this way, it can be
used to saw various types of wood and plastics.
• Remove the battery (6) before you install a saw blade (1) to prevent the unintended start-up
of the garden saw.
• Turn the saw blade holder (10) counter-clockwise and hold it in place.
• Install the saw blade (1) in the saw blade holder (10).
• Release the saw blade holder (10) and ensure that the saw blade is fixedly installed by
pulling on the saw blade.
• To remove the saw blade (1), turn the saw blade holder (10) counter-clockwise and pull the
saw blade out of the saw blade holder.
Installation of the retainer
• Remove the battery (6) before you install the retainer (2) to prevent the unintended start-up
of the garden saw.
• Align the upper lug of the retainer with the opening in the saw housing.
• Press and hold the retainer unlocking device (4) in the unlocking position.
• Push the retainer lug (2) into the housings and release the retainer unlocking device (4).
• Ensure that the retainer is secured by pulling the retainer away from the housing.
• To dismount the retainer, press the retainer unlocking device and pull the retainer out of the
saw housing.
Switching the saw on and off
• Push the safety switch (9) in from any side of the tool and then push the operating switch (8)
to start the garden saw.
• Release the operating switch (8) to stop the garden saw.
• When you release the operating switch (8), it is automatically locked by the switch lock (9).

Operation

• Ensure that the saw blade (1) and the retainer (2) are locked properly and hold the saw
firmly.
• Attach the branch to the retainer (2) and lower it to cut.
• To cut thicker branches or to saw wood or plastic, the retainer may be removed so that it
does not get in the way during cutting. During the process, the saw shoe should be pressed
against the workpiece, if possible, to prevent the saw blade from vibrating.
